I can't handle reading [MOD EDIT: a certain user's] threads anymore. They guy is poisonous, I don't know what is he doing sharing his anger with us but I guess misery loves company. The mods won't do their job so I'm begging for a way to completely ignore him, I don't want to see the threads started by him, don't want to see his posts (not even "this post was made by...") and also I would like to love if the quoted text by other appeared in a sort of code square so I can skip it if it's a [certain user's] qoute.
Please.
Specifics/Details: It could be an addition to the foe option, manageable in the Control Panel.
How this will benefit the site and/or other comments: People will be happier. Less bitter arguments in the forums.

i just encountered another crappy player that ruins games needs to go on my foe list but i don't want to also block his posts.

Sorry. I'll stop joining your games.
lol, i should probably be on your foe list for ruining our team games with my crappy dice

After you won a game there should be an option to foe players in the game to avoid they join on the same map and/or settings
Specifics/Details:
Example: I'm very keen on cross-mapping. And it is annoying that constantly people come back on maps that I've already beaten them on. Sometimes it works to say, don't join anymore on this map. But there still enough people that keep joining. I don't mind when they join on other maps. But it's a waste of time to play 2 or more times against them on time-consuming maps.
As for medals this could be the same. New medals come out and only thing you can do to avoid the same people joining is foe them. I think this is a bit harsh to do. So give the option to Medal Foe them. After winning a game you can foe people just on settings you haven't won a Gold Medal on yet. So foe on Trench, Manual etc. etc. if you still haven't Gold. For Medals it could be that when you get Gold, you Medal Foes will be removed automatically.
How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:
This will benefit as it will help people to work on Medal hunting & Cross-Mapping, without having to dramatically Foe others in total. Personal goals are easier to achieve in a more friendly way.
While you are allowed to use your foe list for just about any purpose that you wish--there isn't really such thing as foe list abuse--foeing players in order to crossmap has always been one of the more frowned upon uses of the foe system. (That and foeing all people you lose to. Basically foeing based on the outcome of games, generally.) So, I doubt that CC would encourage foeing in this manner by making it easier to do.
I've seen people in the past joining 5 times on the same map with the same settings. It is really annoying. I don't care if they join on other maps. I don't wanna foe players totally. Therefore I think that this suggestion could be very welcome to foe players just for a specific map after a game on that map is finished.
Ahhh, I misunderstood the suggestion. Nonetheless, I'm guessing that anyone is going to go to the trouble of tweaking the foe system in order to help you (or others) get medals. There are a lot of players who don't like the foe list being used in this way, and even this modified system would probably not be received favorably.
I'm polite enough to let people join a second time. I only hate it when they join for a 3rd or even 4th time on the same map, even after I kindly asked not to join anymore on that map. People can create their own games on that map if they want.
I don't have that much of an issue with the suggestion, but it's just...meh.
I mean, I think you can get a group of 6 players together and all play each other until everyone has cross mapped the map. Or, something I do is only start a couple of games at a time. Then the games are spread out in game finder and you won't get the same person usually.
You are one of the rare players who would rather work towards a medal than gain points/play games... Someone really wants to join your games and you believe you can beat them soundly, but you are foeing them? You are contributing to the stagnation of a system that is sluggish as it is. Open the foe floodgates if the people were not offensive and let cc thrive!
The current system, which hides the posts of users that you choose, works well enough for most people. If User B later quotes User C that you have chosen to ignore, then User B's post, inclusive of the offending quote from User C, is considered to be the words of User B. If you don't like User B, then you can choose to ignore him/her as well. Moving this to REJECTED.
There are quite a few people here who many not like someone as a person, but wouldn't mind playing a few games against them. It is also true that some people would never in a million years want to join a game with someone- known deadbeater, foul-mouthed, etc.- when they might not mind having a "passionate" discussion on the forums. Some people may not want to play me because I am a Cook, while others may not want to talk to me because I am an asshole.
Why not have forum foes and game foes?

There should be an option before foe that blocks the text of a particular player.
Specifics/Details:
I suggest a mute option.

Allowing for continued play with and between abusive members.
oh boy, i could see this getting messy... "secret alliance, because i couldn't read their chat!!!"... just foe and move on.. either you are going to be a big boy, suck it up, and deal with blue-ish chat or you are not... i don't see a happy medium... good luck with this...-Jésus noir
Thorthoth,"Cloaking one's C&A fetish with moral authority and righteous indignation
makes it ever so much more erotically thrilling"
If you mean an "ignore" feature for the forum that doesn't require foeing them in games, I'm all for it.
However, muting their game chat seems a little insane, especially for singles multiplayer games. As was already mentioned, truces can happen in chat, and you wouldn't see it. Then what? People will start complaining that joe and bob made a truce "in such a way that I wouldn't realise because I couldn't see one side of their chat." Boo hoo. Not saying that you would do it, OP, but there is a serious amount of dorks on this site. I can see this working in team games where you are playing against the idiot you dislike. I have a couple of people foed and it's awesome if I have to play against them in a clan game or something because I can't read their trash and no doubt, jibes against moi. However, otherwise I would NEVER want to play those people. Being a team game makes it okay. Not very good players in the first place that I should bother to want to mute and still play them.
