I never would have suspected such a thing.

Both of these goalies have been stellar so far in this series,
turning away near perfect scoring chances repeatedly.

The games are tight and this series could just as easily
be 2-0 the other way at this point. It's great hockey.

Yeah, the bum has given up FOUR WHOLE GOALS in two games in the Finals. He's got a goals against average of 2.27 and a save percentage of .930 (better than Luongo) in the playoffs. Dude sucks, don't he?

I get that you want Boston to lose, but let's give respect where it's due, eh? Thomas is one of the top netminders in the league. Sorry, Habs fan.

I hate when people use that word! He's a fucking goalie, not a fisherman!

Anyway, after the 3rd period I changed the channel to the Food Network and then changed it back to the game. I saw the Canucks cheering. I FUCKING MISSED THE GOAL

AoG, you're confusing net mender with net minder.

You know that people are going to say he should have had his head up. And while I agree with that, it was definitely late, therefore, interference.

The last minute of play (under 5mins in 2nd) is some of the most exciting play, all finals. Excellent offense, never giving up by boston.. and they're up 4 0..U-S-A..U-S-A.. :D

Wow, 8-1. I stopped watching after they got a 2-0 lead.

I couldn't stop laughing during the first goal though. That defenseman (forgot who it was) who broke his stick on the pass just killed me...I was cracking up. Like, how unfortunately shitty.

The score means nothing in the series though. Boston is still down 2-1. It doesn't matter if they won 93-2. They still need more wins.

I agree they need more wins, but the score is not irrelavent. Boston proved they can completely dismantle the canucks, something vancouver hasn't proved they can do to them (they have the talent, they just haven't shown it). Even if you add up Game 1's 1-0 win, game 2's 3-2 OT win (by an player who shouldn't have played) to their 1 point scored last night they still would have been beat by a impressive gap.

This series could very easily be a 3-0 Boston series right now. I look forward to vancouvers responce in game 4.

Either way this is a very exciting cup, and hopefully this style of play can turn more americans on to the sport. Who wants to watch boring ass lazy baseball anyway..

=D> =D> Both teams.

The series could also easily be 2-1. Oh wait it is. There's been times when the Canucks have skated circles around the Bruins and just couldn't put the puck in the net. I don't see last nights score as an indicator of anything beyond the simple fact that Boston really needed to win one to stay in this thing. The first two games were extremely competitive and I expect nothing less from all the ice time that remains.

2011 Western Conference Quarter Finals
#1 Vancouver Canucks vs. #8 Chicago Blackhawks
Game 1 2-0 Vancouver win - no dismantling
Game 2 4-3 Vancouver win - another close game
Game 3 3-2 Vancouver win - second straight 1 goal game
Game 4 7-2 Chicago win - a true "dismantling"
Game 5 5-0 Chicago win - another Blackhawks rout
Game 6 4-3 OT Chicago win - first OT game, Chicago wins their first close one
Game 7 2-1 OT Vancouver win - second straight OT game, Vancouver wins the series

In the 7 game series, Vancouver won by 2 goals ONCE, and scored a total of 16 goals. Chicago had two 5 goal victories, and scored 22 goals. Yet the Canucks won the series, without ever proving they could "dismantle" Chicago.

Conclusion? Margin of victory is meaningless. Win 4 games before the other guy does, and you'll win the Cup. It's that simple.

It doesn't matter if it COULD be 3-0, it IS 2-1. Boston can win the next game 42*10^345345345 to 0, if they lose the next two games and lose the series 4-2, people will doubt them.

After the last Heat win, I forgot who they were quoting but I completely agree: "In the playoffs there's no such thing as a good win and there's no such thing as a bad win."

First period if I am Boston I just throw caution into the wind and see if I can get into Luongo head some more. Giving up 8 goals in a game has to leave some doubt in your mind.

I didn't get to see Game 3 in Boston, how many of those goals
were empty netters finishing up the 3rd Period?

Both of these Net Minders are capable of dominating play
and keeping it close.

I am surprised no one else mentioned the Thomas hit/save. That was a special play, maybe my favorite of the Finals so far.

Does that sound stupid? Yes it does. So does "USA USA" when almost all the players are not americans.

Yeah, I was going to comment on that bit too... but couldn't be bothered to illustrate that bit of ignorance.

Wow..you both can't be THAT damn dumb. I know you can't..I know you aren't serbia, I guess just jumping on the bashing band wagon.

Does everyone really need to type "LOL OMFG ROFLS" after every sarcastic/joking/smart assed comment?? I thought one little smilie with a big cheesy smile would suffice

No freaking way, you mean boston bruins..aren't from boston?! Does that mean they aren't really bears(bruin=bear) either??(LOLZ)

And that means, the vancouver canucks arent all from B.C???

↑ That was sarcasm..incase anyone is confused.

I think there's maybe 6 United states players on both teams combined, and I think during the finals they even said vancouver has more then boston.. ←Serious comment.

But, I will say I usually do cheer for american teams over canadian..sue me ;)

Hannibal is officially the smartest poster in this forum, nay, in ANY forum.
icanhazsarcy2?

And recognizing your linguistic brilliance, I'm going to offer a polite suggestion - if you want your jokes to be seen as jokes, and your serious posts to be seen as serious, try to make them more obvious. Saying that "margin of victory" absolutely does mean something on the heels of your U-S-A joke can confuse some of us less educated, more stupid posters into thinking both lines were meant to be taken at face value. Next time, dumb it down for those who are less than you (ie, apparently everyone).

I am non-religious, or a godless heathen if you prefer. I do not have christ to light my way, so as I am certain you can surmise, I could not see that you were being sarcastic. I suppose it's because I am in a really dark place. Therefore, going forward, please enlighten us by indicating that you are "joking" or being sarcastic when your wit appears, otherwise we think you are just being stoopit.

EDIT - PS: What is an "electrican"?

@ Serbia not the ENTIRE forum, maybe this just page ←Sarcasm

@Notyou2 I'm not too sure what religion has to do with anything. Besides my totally bitchin avatar. I would assume "electrican" is a typo, I'm not one to be into the profile part of any website, I have all the friends I need in real life and have no desire to make internet buddies. Id guess I could go through everyones profiles looking for pointless typos as well if I was really that bored. Instead ill go back to running whyer. Thanks for pointing that out though ill go fix it :)

If we could get back to hockey and get off this lame ass attempt at being e-bullies everyone tries so hard to do here. Mk?
