Yeah possible. Though recently with the latest Yahoo Update I find yahoo to lag CC. It never used to do it, but shutting off yahoo helps with CC load times.

this is getting irritating.

i just went to a faster connection through my internet company, and doubled my speed, and cc is the only site still running slow, my computer is clean. this is stupid!

Right. Lack has determined a couple of things that have been slowing Conquer Club down recently.

Scheduled Maintenance routines (like deleting expired invitations) have been harassing the servers a little, so Lack is working on optimizing some of this back end performance.

He has also been changing some underlying code to Conquer Club, which will be a part of future updates.

Things most likely will clear up over the next couple of days as he works out the kinks of performance issues!

I'm too scared to come out of my hole and start a freestyle speed game at the moment

This isn't slow. This is bullshit.

In three games today now I haven't been able to enter until the last few seconds. In Game 5825763 everyone just missed their first two turns. It's bloody ridiculous.

I've been getting almost permanent lag all day.

It has been terrible for a month now constant lag all the time ive seen at least 4 games today where players cant even get into the game to start their turns

All threads have been ignored about the speed issues

it is this site only and needs to be sorted quicker than a couple of days CC should have been proactive rather than reactive

For about an hour yesterday it was laggy for the 15 people I talked to. But other than that I haven't experienced constant, unbearable lag (i.e. more than 3 terts in 2 sec) for months…

I spent another whole day working on the server to improve performance. A lot of the work is data intensive and actually slows down the server, and I'm not done yet, so it could be slow at times throughout the next couple days. But once the work is done, it should be quite better than before.

Please please please fix this. Or extend speed game turns to 15 minutes. It's impossible to take more than a handful of territories during a 5 minute turn because of the lag.

LOL - because I ran out of time, a corporal just took 104 points off of 2 majors and a captain in a 5-man terminator AOR3 game. I was able to kill him for 15 points. Yay!

Slow internet connection is horrendous when you're playing speed games
