I didn`t read the thread so if this was already stated , oh well, I played one game with manual troop deployment, I won going second. I thought possibly by capping the amount of troops on a territory at the start could balance the game.

Thanks for all the feedback so far. Now I wish I was good with numbers.
Lack will be reviewing this topic, and the Announcement topic as well, in the coming days.
As always, keep the feedback coming.

Thanks everyone for your input.
I think we now understand why in automatic initial troop games there is a first player advantage in sequential but not freestyle. I tried generating numbers for speed vs casual, 2 players vs 6 players, but could not figure out why in manual initial troop games there is a first player advantage only if the game is freestyle. But I put in a double turn block so it is more fair.

No

rough guess on my experiments
I played roughly 15 games so far
I think im like 11-4. I went 1st in about 11 of the games but lost 2 of them due to bad dice. Than I won 2 going 2nd and lost the other 2 going 2nd. Going first has a huge advantage. You wipe out the other player before they move on their first turn.
not exact totals I have there but you get the picture
