Please explain where about is this the case, because everywhere I have ever been there have been people who speak English. In Manchester there is a Chinese community, Polish, Spanish, and most other nations, yet I every person who I have spoken to in the streets etc. can speak English, surely what you are misunderstanding is the fact that your English.

Brooksieb, you say ethnic minority. White Irish is a minority, as would be mixed race, and any other race other that white british. You are talking about the white population which is very different to White British.

There are if you think about it the abolishment of slavery, a celebration every year, and white people were responsible for it.
