Put all the foundry stuff in one place, Forums in another, Clans, maps, etc. Give everything its own section so we can easily find what we want.
I think alphabetical is better, since this is meant for people who don't know what the terms or accronyms mean. If they don't know what they mean, how should they know what "category" to look for them in?
Hang: To attack someone in such a way that they are vulnerable to be eliminated by another player, most likely for their cards in an escalating game.
Suicide: To give up on winning and waste all of your men attacking another player.
KN: Killer neutrals. Neutral armies repopulate a given territory at the start of the next round, killing any troops left on that territory.
AA: Adjacent attacks. A proposed game type where a player may only attack territories that are bordered by the territories they owned at the start of the round.
IN: Infected neutrals. A proposed game type where neutral armies have "artificial intelligence" and can attack other players
Bombard: Territories can attack and conquer another territory but not occupy it. If the territory is conquered it will change into a neutral army.

I would describe that a little differently. Maybe something like, "To come up short on an attempted kill, leaving the player easily eliminated by the next player to go."

But its not always an attempt to kill the player. You can attack a single country which exposes the player to someone else, and therefore hangs them. Your quote is one example but I think it should be a broader definition.

Yeah, I've been wondering about the term Farming. So far I believe it means, to pick on the newbies in order to gain easy points. A Glossary would be very helpful. Someone's going to tell me there is one and reveal my secret, that I'm a complete arse.
....just 3 days ago, I wasn’t expecting such a responce.
All we need now, is for someone to collate all the above and Sticky it.

i guess he only got THOTA up there...-0
Yes, I took down the rest of the clan names. I'm not certain on what some of these clan acronyms mean; the rest of the slang I should be okay with though THOTA comes up most and you get more people asking what that stands for than most other clans.
EDIT - I was fastposted by Tim then, by the way

The Neon Peon wrote:I agree with the definitions up there so far, the OP did not know what half of them were to start, which means that in later times something not true might be added.
It's just the clan names/acronyms that I'm not too sure about.
The Neon Peon wrote:I think that if something like this should happen, a mod should be the OP and we should actually discuss each term rather than taking the first definition available.
Here are some examples of deficiencies:
Block - To block another player from killing a weaker player Rarely good to use the word in the definition. If they can figure out that definition, they should have been able to figure out the word in the same way: through context.
Recash - Cashing cards at the point of taking them; in a turn (also known as: mid-turn cash) If someone is new and using this (I think this is the target audience), then how are they supposed to know that you can only recash if you have 5 or more cards when you eliminate someone (thusby taking their cards). You need to explain things for the background rather than making a dictionary of English to CC slang.
So far, good list, though we need to actually think about how this is helpful rather than taking the first definition and word that comes up. I hear BPB about once a week here... not that important to a new recruit.
Many thanks for all of those pointers, I've duly noted those and acted upon them where appropriate
I wanted to thank you publicly for that massive (and massively helpful list) you posted. I've added most of the ones you suggested, and most of them needed no edits

See I’ve even learned what a Sticky is now.
Thanks to all (particularly ManBungalow)
Thank you Namor
I'm glad to see this is going down well
By the way - I didn't make this to make you look like a complete arse

Couldn't we just rename it "Top 100 CC terms and acronyms", and leave it in GD?

I would, just for the hell of it, but I'm hoping to have this stickied

Hang also know as Sullied: To attack someone in such a way that they are vulnerable to be eliminated by another player, most likely for their cards in an escalating game.
