If it's at all relevant: this is the only new recruit I have seen with a profile picture...

And with such a heavily detailed and well though out first post.
Most peoples first post are more like "Where is Australia on the classic map?". Well thats slightly over the top but you now what i mean, i also find it strange how he hasn't replied to this thread protecting his innocence.

Big word. I'm new to the site, and I'm playing pretty much every map. But by doing this I can't seem to get past Sgt. I don't seem to have any trouble holding Corporal 1st class though.

Naw, Qwert said in that map thread that it's balanced enough that it is hard to get an advantage just by taking the first turn. After playing a few games on it, I believe him. Since it is hard to get any bonuses, I'd say its a skill map.
BUT! let's not ignore the role that bad dice can play in a 1vs1... especially if imperium romanium has played Risk at home. Then he/she might know what's what.

Well 'himself' told me I should try this game. I have just started and it seems like fun. I like the way the dice appear and it is exciting seeing the number of armies change. I don't think I will get very high in that scoreboard thingy but then I leave that to him.

I try not to be obsessive over score, simply because
I'm not good enough to get anywhere near the top. The day score becomes everything is the day I quit CC. I was pretty close not long ago, after one of those incredibly bad streaks, and I felt it couldn't be good for me to obsess so much over all the points I lost.
I almost wish I hadn't quit playing 'that while back'. I've been registered for quite a while, so I could have been someone by now

i don't think so... he probably knows he's busted so gave up.. also, another multi reason is he's already posting in the forum... most new recruits only come to play games.. i didn't find the forum until just recently actually
and i've been a member for almost a year

I've never seen any other New Recruits post in the forum (with the exception of the other New Recruit earlier on in this thread). Speaking of which: if roman imperium here has quit the site, then clearly never found it fun, and so is unlikely to ever advise another person to join (as "the_mrs" claims). If roman imperium is indeed a multi, I would be inclined to believe that the_mrs is a multi of the same person, for similar reasons...(posting in the forum etc).
I'm going to stop ranting now...

oh dear...so sorry. I didnt mean that person who started this forum thread thing up when I said himself, I meant my husband who is a player on the site. He told me to read the forum so I could see what it was really like. And very intresting it is. and I have played a few games now and they are great fun aren't they.

Anywhy, why would a new multi name himself/herself after a new map and only play it? I'm sure if any of us left we would come back and play on the maps that we play now.
