suggs is banned for 6 fucking months???????

Without the understanding of the CC administration there can be no CC community and the last remaining shred of that understanding got fired and then banned. As far as I'm concerned, posting here now is like going to the square in a small town because you know you're gonna run into at least few of your friends there. I'm here for those friends, but I no longer care about the place per se.

same, although I do play the risk game as that can still be fun.

I've only been here a short time and I can feel the attitude on the site changing...

It's a different atmosphere here than before... And I for one, do not enjoy it. The games are still fun, but the forums are so full of unhappy people. And the forums for me are like 40% of what this site is about.

Yeah, this place gets more negative every day. Anytime you tell someone who complains about the mods that they don't have to stay, the somehow feel indignant as it's their right to complain here. Instead of one of the two splinter forums. People need to stop their nonsense and get over it so the site can move on.

But the site can't move on if all the interesting people are banned. That's kind of our complaint.

You're right. People who have been here for awhile that knowingly break rules that have been up and reinforced long before they ever joined here are being unfairly banned. :o

Perhaps they don't follow the rules because the rules are garbage. Oh, and before the inevitable "They can do what they want, it is their site" bit, I'd like to ask a theoretical question. Since it is lack's site, would it be OK to just shut it down? It is his after all, so why not? We're just guests, and if he wants to shut down the site that's his call. No issue with that, right?

Well he'd have an obligation to the premium members to reimburse them, but yeah aside from that he can do what he wants.

Maybe we should all get ourselves banned? If you want something to change, then you better do something different.

Then they have the option of starting their own forums where the rules are different. I think some people have already done this.

Yes, it would be ok if he shut it down. The owner/creator or whatever title he has, has the right to do with it as they see fit. I wouldn't like it if that were his choice, but he is within his rights to do so. However, there would need to be a proper notification to everyone so they can play out the remainder of their memberships. Either that or a refund of some sort.

Well, I don't know about you guys, but I wouldn't be pleased if CC was just shut down. Sure, everyone has the right to do things. That doesn't mean that their right is the correct choice. If I care about something and it's being shut down I complain. I don't meekly let people roll over me, whether or not they own a website. Just because it isn't my say doesn't mean I don't have an opinion. Hell, perhaps we should just leave politics to the politicians, when it comes down to it we don't have any real impact.

No, I wouldn't be happy if CC was shut down, but as much as that would suck, it's lack's site, he can do what he wants. Just because I think that doesn't mean I let the law of the land govern my personal opinion. When wicked was canned, I thought it was unjust and didn't like that decision one bit. But when she released the multi hunting info, I was in favor of her ban. Granted, I was upset because she contributed a lot to the community, but she deserved what she got. I don't think suggs deserved what he got, but he's still here, and he'll be posting again in 6 months, so that one's not as bad.

holy shit i didnt know that suggs got banned 6 months for that....this is what happens when I go on vacation and neglect CC for a few days, I was put on a 24 hour ban for the same exact thing suggs was, how come he got 6 months when I did the exact same thing he did

Because he probably did it a lot more.
