According to Biblical prophecy, there will be a false messiah, a person who will sway the populace to follow him and thus bring about the second coming of the Christ.
He's basically the catalyst for the reemergence of Jesus. A literary device, like Loki's escape from his captivity in Norse mythology that brings about the Ragnarok, only the Christians call it Armageddon.
In a related subject, the term Apocalyptic doesn't mean "referring to the end of the world." It's from the latin for "Message from God" so when someone refers to the Apocalypse, they're referring to the vision given to the author of Revelation(s) about the End of Days.

Well I did tell you I often seem republican when I post. But know I'm just your average guy who will looks at the candidates and there capability of leading without judging by party. See I'd rather have a president where I am opposed to his ideals but think he can lead than a guy where I like his ideals but is obviously to wishy-washy to be a leader. It may seem screwed up but think about it for a few seconds and you might see my point.
