Sounds like a great idea though. Even though i would love to play, Cairns is just about the furtherest you could get from Melbourne and still be in Australia. Good luck with it all, i hope it takes place.

isn't your state's capital closer to Melbourne than it is to you ?

Yeh,,,but if i book the flights and travel and accommodation now, i could get the flights for about AUD300 return to Cairns. Let's see...should i go or not? Mmmmm, maybe i'd better talk to some people.

why don't you rent a big bus and pile in with your buddies, and take a road trip to the big city? along the way, you can wear fancy outfits on the roof of the bus and do crazy dance routines to 70's music in small towns at their pubs!!! it would be really cool... or at least, that is how i remember Priscilla, Queen of the Desert...-0

the pub where that trip started use to be my local. it had cheap beer & free pool on sundays.

unfortunately that wouldn't be appropriate for the tropics going south....too much organza and taffita....way too hot....even though "Finally" by Ce Ce Peniston (but the 7in version) is one of my favourite pieces of music...btw...i knew the guy in Sydney that Priscilla was about....he was married and had a son...says a lot of the so-called straight world doesn't it owenshooter!??

the rules for the tournament have not been decided...but it will be open to ALL premium members...can we stop worrying about whether we will kill each other guys...all the Oz players I know are cool, calm and collected... I just am trying to ascertain if there was interest in meeting and playing together...

That's 3 players from Cairns. Perhaps the City folk should bring the tourney up to the tropics.Host it on the esplanade, where the losers would be entertained by naked backpackers & late night piss-ups at the lagoon.

It is a great fan club. I especially liked the cookies Mamma Lackattack sent to the last meeting. It was so cute how she made them into little turtles with a fro. So creative that lady is. We really should send her a thank you card.
