yeap put me down .. if it aint broke don't fix it!
it was an old friend who you recognised the instant you cast your eye over its gestalt perfection!
Now it is like a beautiful lover with collagen inflated lips... it mocks and jars me with every glance at its caricatured facade!
Damn you! damn you i say! It's like painting the Taj Mahal purple, Making Big Ben Digital or putting dungarees on the Statue of bloody liberty!

i think it's the slight color alteration of australia that really does it for me

Agreed, this is HORRIBLE.
Did you guys even show this to a few other members before you launched it on all of us? (mid-game!)

I agree with the sentiment that it would be cool to have the option of playing the previous version of this map as well. Maybe call this one New Classic or something....
I would prefer to use the old one. You can quickly tell what's going on with the previous version.

I agree...the colors seem pretty good. But those white circles....they gotsta go.

'Classic' we have 10's of new maps, with swanky new features and i am all for progress but this is just plain stupid and arrogant in its brazen imposition!
It is change for its own sake and tantamount to bloody-minded spite!

Well fair enough i think the new
friend and foe system is fantastic! With bob you can get the Avatars back on the Left so the new look Forums are not just a disjointed jaunt into confused frustration!
Fair enough and thank you.. but change the 'Classic back please..... too much change! And it is not just unnecessary, it is simply wrong!

I don't care about the other stuff, just the white circles need to go completely away. Don't try to make them darker, which is whay they'll try next, just do away with them already. Add me to the list!

I rarely feel the need to comment on the forums. I would like to make personal points -
- We as a community appear to shun the new Classic map
- we as a community on the whole seem to appreciate all the work the map foundry do on most occasions
- we as a community dont really comply by establishment rules and are ignored enough IRL by the 'big corporate' ignoring the consumer.
- we as a community appear to be voting that the new classic map isnt right and it should be reinstated to EXACTLY as it was
- we as a community appear to have listed 13 pages of generally negative feedback on the new map on the announcements page.
- the majority of the community appear 'together' on this one.
Further points of interest.
- It was probably expected by the management of CC and the community that there would be some negative feedback on the whole - however - i should imagine their attitude was/is lets ride the storm and they will get used to it - -WELL WE MUST NOT
- I remind the FOUNDER of this site that the ORIGINALITY of it was what has made AND PAID for it to be where it is today. If you loose your core - - you WILL lose what MAKES this game and the community what it is - - - the CLASSIC - - NO EXCLAMATION MARK map is where it all started - - i advise you strongly not to forget that.
This is nothing short of UTTER sacrilige!!!!!!!

I'll admit, I don't currently have any games going on that map so my only exposure is to check it out on Game Finder. Is it really that bad? Seriously, I'm not talking about whether or not you object to changing "a classic". I'm asking if the game play is diminished.
Because if it's just about changing the color of Aussie, get a freaking grip. There's no shortage of completely lame maps on this site that you all should be much quicker to get your panties in a twist about.
Maybe Lack can do the new coke, coke classic thing and give you Nancy's the old map as an option. The rest of us can then decide if the game play is, in fact, improved and try to get past the fact that it looks a bit different.
