esc is about running the board and chaining cards. The first game I won was on the North American board with 8 folks. I won the game on turn 8.
red had some bad dice and I noticed he had 4 cards. I took him and three others out. The next turn I received 25 armies for all my territories..took out the next weakest and won that turn.

It was LUCK. I knew what to do but I was at the mercy of the dice and cards.

when did you win this game.. according to profile you have no wins

I smell a multi. :D It's weird but BadMoonRising does not even have any games on N.America map under his belt.

Delusional is a possibility too of course... but the response should be interesting

Damn, there is a possible explanation... It was not a game in CC, but the first game he ever won in risk ever, which was in real life which he plays quite a bit, and just found this place....

Any bets?

I usually play flat rate, and an occasional no cards game.
I absolutely hate escalating cards, as I think they are more about luck than about skill.
In a 6 player game, if you don't have a set on round 6, you are a sitting duck.

I like no cards 6 player assassin, 6 player terminator esc, 4 player doubles no cards, and 1vs1 no cards - so it depends. I try and avoid flat rate like the plague though.

i think you should definately have cards. it give incentive to make an attack each turn and its also a good source for more armies

I have to admit that I am a flat rate cards guy in most cases.

No cards takes too long, escalating cards are often over too quickly.

And I like getting that cashin that lets me win (of course I win because of skill) or being able to blame someone else's win on a lucky cashing (I never lose because of my lack of skill)

It works for me :)
