I went to the US recently and I definatly think that US money needs a revamp. I think they need more coins for convinience sake. Easier to carry and harder to lose. Also the bills need to be more distinct. I looked at the change for purchases and looked like I was being given too much or to little change. Its way too confusing, you should be able to tell the difference between money without seeing the actual number. Also none of the bills have security features on them. Canada has holograms, watermarks, raised bumps and a couple others I forget right now, but the US has abslutley no security features on their money, making it easier to fake.

Sociology student by any chance?
If 20 little furry pink bunnies cost the same amount as 18 furry little white bunnies, which is more valuable: 1 furry little pink bunny, or a furry little white bunny?
lol norse its not nice to make fun of me while im not around....what if i hadnt come across this thread, then people would have thought the good discipline of sociology (just kidding) was ok to be slandered as such.
Anywho, there are problems with us currency that are going to have to be dealt with over the long term and its possible its going to get worse before it ends up getting better. I actually would suggest if someone is curious about it to talk to xtra, as he actually may be the most knowledgable person on the forum about the current us dollar (and im being serious about this).

im probably blowing his cover by claiming so...but there xtra does put a fair amount of time into some of these issues. Ill admit a lot of his stuff can come from areas with obvious balance, but he does know his stuff about currency and he makes a fairly compelling argument. And i have a fair amount of street cred so if im saying it, it must be true..(just kiddin)

well its not that i necesarily agreed with all of his arguments, but he has done a fair bit of looking into the amero and done a lot of stuff on alan greenspan. Admittedly you get a little bit of bias in some of the material, but at the same time i think theres a lot of things to consider in there about the solvency of the currency and some of the political rammifications as a result. As far as information, id bet he has more of it readily available than anyone else. Whatever an individual chooses to take out of it is up to them.

That been said, yes the canadian dollar is rising in value compared to american one.
No clues why, I am not an economist.
And Lord Voldemort, if you spent 10 dollars buying something that is worth 20, it means your 10 dollars are worth twice as much, since you could buy something twice as worthier with them.
So, if 1 US = 0.9 CND, it means the Canadian dollar is worth more, since you can buy something worth 1 US with it, 1US will nto be able to buy something worth 1 CND.
Foreign stocks are doing much better than US stocks...this is a direct effect of loss of confidence in the American market. Basically, the whole world is starting to hate the US, this is starting to show in the market. But Bush is taking care of it all...just keep going to war with other countries and get them to buy more US weapons, pirate all the oil, and take over Mexico and Canada with the Amero (i think that is the name of the NorthAmerican Dollar that is coming our way). The question is...Why do I wear a hat with the American Flag with the slogan "Support Our Troops" but the dang cap is made in China? Whose troops am I supporting anyway?
