I would like to take issue with freestyle being allowed in this tournament, as it gives an advantage to those who wish to hang back and join the games last, thus giving them the first move, and as everyone knows having the first move can be a great advantage in 1v1, especially if there are unlimited forts.

Norse, that is a very good point. I think the home player will be required to join their home games first. This means that as soon as the away player joins he will be able to take a turn. In view of this should anybody wish to switch from freestyle to sequential then pls post here.

Instructions for Joining Games

Important - please read

There are 10 teams in each league and you will play everyone both on your home map and on your opponents map for a total of 18 games.

Joining home games

I have created 4 games for each player to join. You will find them by typing the following into the tournament name field in gamefinder '1 v 1 div n xxx' where n is your league number and xxx is the first 3 characters of your username. For example if your name is dirtydennis and you are in division 4 then you put in tournament name field '1 v 1 div 4 dir' You should join those games straightaway with the password that will be pmd to you. If these games have not started in 2 weeks then they are automatically deleted. In 2 weeks time I will create another 4 games for each player and a further 4 2 weeks later. that will give you a total of 12 games (3 more than you need to allow for people joining games by mistake or games being auto deleted).

Joining away games

In the tournament field enter just '1 v 1 div 4' (If that is your division) You may join any game that the home player has already joined. provided you haven't already played them, so please keep a record of who you have already played. Please do not join games that the home player has not joined If you have a division marshall in your league please pm them with any queries you may have, otherwise pm me. If your league has not got a marshall and you'd like to volunteer pls pm me.

Please feel free to pm other players in your league in order to get these games played. The league will finish on 10 september and a new one will start on 1 october.

Responsibilities of marshalls

Mainly to publish a league table and keep it uptodate. Also to answer any queries.

Correct. Results don't need to be posted, the marshalls will check the games and compile a league from that

Now that the game finder has been changed to not have a free text box - I've found that it's easiest to find your away games by using "Join a Game" instead - all the 1v1 games are about 2/3 of the way through.
