I'm sorry about my late response, I'm working 12s this weekend.
I'll be more active when Monday rolls around.

This will be my first Mafia game. I decided it was time after seeing it in strategy forums for years.
I think I understand the basics of the game pretty well but feel free to point out when I screw up.

So, anyway, how do these games usually go? Do I just chat up everyone until I can feel their murderous intentions?
Apologizing in advance if I accidentally lynch a good guy.

It really does feel like one of Iron Butterfly and Storr is Mafia. Not a clue which one at the moment.

I'm a Mafia Goon... Townies can be a bit boring, Cops just aren't getting love these days, & Docs are pretty cool but need to stay in school for like 10 years.

i think the C9 setup always has a doc.
i think that there is 1 one doc,1 cop,3 vanilla townies and 2 mafia goons.

100% chance of exactly 2 Mafia;
50% chance of a Cop;
50% chance of a Doc;
25% chance of both Cop & Doc (3 Vanilla Townies);
25% chance of 5 Vanilla Townies with no Cop/Doc

Oh. This is really how it works, lol.

1. WingCmdr Ginkapo - Obviously Town, but I presume you will make your own judgement on this.
2. Iron Butterfly - Made the initial call on Storr, but that could be a veteran calling out another veteran to get things going. Does seem quite bothered by Storr's counter claim when we all know no-one knows anything.
3. virus90 - tbc
4. MudPuppy - Claimed Mafia,
5. StorrZerg - Involved in the IB fight
6. Endgame422 - Jumping onto the IB bandwagon, without real cause. Could be an innocent move. Seems to think we have a doc.

IB is the strongest candidate atm imo, but there is not much of a case for it.

We're not going to get much of a case on anyone day one... but think it is in our best interest to lynch someone... anyone (Yeah, I know that can sound scummy). I used to be hesitant about D1 lynches... but I've since come to the conclusion that you need to take the gamble. I think most veterans would agree with that strategy... and the fact that Stor planted the seed that we maybe shouldn't do so has my Scum-dar focused on him:

Its called a fact checking. If we no lynch, then thats 2 day of no lynch till Lylo.

I'd much rather 2 shots of hitting mafia than 1 shot.

Maybe it was a slip, its not far from mafia to admit to being mafia and claim they are joking about it. Its one of the more honest things they can say with a joke. Some people have a really hard time admitting to being town. And regarding questions, it gets reactions, reactions that can then be talked about and judged. So no the questions are not meaningless, they help to generate discussion.

To me it appears you are trying to hard to make me seem scummy, generally something like this wouldn't involve you saying something that's incorrect, then me pointing out what i said to prove you wrong. Whats hilarious, is that you actually quote what i said, and make it seem like its something else, when i clearly state "I'd rather 2 lynches over 2 sleeps"

mea culpa. Sorry, misread what you were saying. So, we are in agreement that someone should be lynched D1.

Also with L-2 being only 2 votes, when claims come, I strongly recommend we only force claims with 2 votes +someone in addition wanting the claim.

Also, I think cop should claim tomorrow regardless of the check.
