I can certainly defend America from the stand point that we have the geographically best location for a prosperous nation in the entire globe and our interconnected river system is what made English and our American culture to spread and stay intact across the continent. It's a huge mistake to fracture business and trade by allowing so much Spanish to come in and them never have to learn English. That's never good for nations concerned with equality.

So geographically, yeah, f*ck the world, America's got it the best. Our natural wonders blow everyone else's away, too.

As for the leadership and the one percent and the bottom feeder 47%? Not a whole lot I can do about those degenerates. Instead I'm just trying to be an exceptional American. Be the best in the field I'm in.

Yah....we did control the oil or rather what all oil is sold in by being the reserve world currency and by being responsible and trustworthy, aided greatly by the fact we were the main victors of WW2. Our days were numbered the day Saddam Hussein refused USDollars for his oil and instead sold it for Euros. The day after that, WMD's became the issue of that time.

When Money Dies - page 1

"Just before the first World War in 1913, the German mark, British Shilling, French frank, and Italian lira were all worth about the same, and 4 or 5 of any were worth about a dollar. At the end of 1923, it would have been possible to exchange 1 schilling, 1 lira, or 1 franc for 1,000,000,000,000 marks, although in practice by then no one was willing to take marks in returns for anything. The mark was dead, one million-millionth of it's former self. It had taken almost 10 years to die.

The mark's fall began gradually in the war years 1914-1918, its foreign exchange value halved, and by August 1919 it halved again. In early 1920 however, although the cost of living had risen 9 times since 1914, the mark had only 1/40th of it's overseas purchasing power left. There followed twelve months of nervous fluctuation, but then the mark sped downwards with gathering momentum, dragging social misery and political disruption in its wake. Not until 1923 did Germany's currency at last go over the cliff-edge of sanity to which it had, as it were, clung for many months with slipping finger-tips.

The year 1923 was the one of galloping inflation when a kind of madness gripped Germany's financial authorities and economic disaster overwhelmed millions of people. It was the year of astronomical figures, of 'wheelbarrow inflation', of financial phenomena that had never been observed before. The death of the mark in November 1923 came as a merciful release, for the events of the preceding 8 months had ensured the mark would NEVER recover. They ensured too, that Germany would have to undergo appalling rigours of financial reconstruction such as might otherwise have been escaped. The establishment of monetary sanity, which bankrupted millions, robbed millions more of their livelihoods, and killed the hopes of virtually everybody else, indirectly exacted a more terrible price which the whole world was about to pay'

Theodosius I was the last emperor that ruled united Empire until his death in 395... Western part ceased to exist in 476, so the centuries you are as real as last years snow :lol:

Byzantine Empire did lasted more then 1 millennia but its influence was nothing compared to the influence of the Roman Empire... Surviving is one thing, Influencing the whole known world is another

As I posted in one of the other threads, I dont think that anyone would replace US as leading power in American continent any time soon but I dont think that same will apply to the rest of the world.

You said the downfall of the Roman Empire was swift. I pointed it out it was anything but. Even with all the corruption, invasions, and lack of nationalism, the Western Empire alone lasted about 500 years (after it was established as an empire), and including the Eastern Empire (late known as the Byzantines) it lasted another 1000 years. It was also not only one of the largest cities, but highly influential for about 1000 years. Not just in the region, but throughout Europe and the Mediterranean area. Not to mention it was a central trade route for a very long time.

Phatscootty, when the initial reports came out and they refused to disclose the race of the officer, then you could take that to understand he was white. Why? If he was anything but white they would have been saying it from the get go. If the officer had been punched so hard that he had a fractured eye socket, they would have said that too.
