Right, because it's impossible to make money unless you have a 9-5. It's clearly more plausible that he was funded by shadowy Obama & gun control supporters in a devious, cartoonish scheme.

part time at Mcdonalds and currently on unemployment? Nobody said Obama funded the shooter, ya NUT!

It was not a personal attack. A player asked a question about your highly inappropriate post that was irrelevant to the thread, and I answered why for him and everyone else.

Ok, no offense here (I like Phat). But I was reading the post more closely. One can easily buy "swat gear". Body armor can be bought with no problem. http://www.galls.com/style-BP383-general_catalog-galls-lite-extended-level-iiia-body-armor.

right..........my post was 100% about guns, the shooter, the shooting, possible motive, and the means. your post had 100% to do with numerous personal attacks on me, oh and you did mention another thread about Ron Paul, which I am sure you will with a straight face say is somehow relevant.

You aint foolin nobody Fitz.

right...which means these loons are jumping to conclusions saying that means the shooter got equipment and funding by Obama, or some crazy shit.

I was asking where the money came from. It's a perfectly natural and necessary question here. Why these guys are sticking up for the shooter's financial privacy is beyond me.

I believe it's very possible this guy got funding and help from someone somewhere. I do not believe at all that it came from the Obama stash

Not to highjack this thread but some of the moronic things people say: "You can’t just go out one day and buy a gun," said Drew Churchson, a member of the Waldwick Rifle and Pistol Club. "There are very steep fines and punishments for those who don’t follow the law." Talking about N.J gun laws. Like somebody who is about to commit 1st degree homicide cares about some gun fines.

i'm glad i'm not the only one who wondered why the shooter's behavior, equipment, and methods were so unusual, and why this story was so popular internationally (it was the top story in france, for example).

i don't know, but i don't really think that this was a guy acting alone or for himself alone. i don't have a fully-formed "alternative theory" of my own, though. unlike most people, i'm okay with the idea that i don't actually know what happened.

Wait ...

So you're saying thinking you notice slight inconsistencies/ interesting facts about the original story DOESN'T automatically mean it's all a massive conspiracy dreamt up in some smoky room ?

ridiculous.

no lol. of course not. i don't jump to conclusions that quickly!

I have several explanations which range from "lolwut" to "ehh, maybe":

(1) Having grown up in San Diego, he was exposed to the mind control devices andbiological experiments emanating from Camp Peddleton!

Have you seen the strange round buildings there with their own private docks?! THEY"RE CONTROLLING US!! AHHHH!!

(2) James Holmes was tired of seeing the same content on main stream media, so he decided to "change the channels."

(3) James Holmes was operating with SPECTRE in an attempt to distract the nation while SPECTRE moves in for the kill. ETA of SPECTRE Coup d'etat: IMMINENT!!

(4) James Holmes was encouraged by the other mass killings (the Columbine-esque ones). These shootings provide a means for some to identity with, and seeing that it was possible, he realized that he could conform through such means.

Interesting facts:

-James Holmes asked about a gun which was ideal for home security about 2-3 months before the shooting. (It was at some porn store, which I didn't think sold guns).

-James Holmes dropped out of a PhD program. (Neuroscience? Neurology?)

-James Holmes moves to Aurora, CO a few weeks before he implements his plan. (Why Aurora? Was it mere happenstance, was it the relative lack of potential police response?)

Here's a fact that should make any thinking person go "hmmm".

The gunman came in through the emergency exit after the movie had started.

Someone let him.

This points to an accomplice in the murder spree. Now before you all go flaming me, I'm not saying Obama did it, or any political conspiracy or that it was some terrorists plot by middle eastern crazies.

I'm saying that someone let the gunman in through the emergency exit door of the theater. Who was it?

Or Holmes propped the door open earlier, went to his car, donned the armor and guns, and then re-entered through the exit door.

The police confirmed this.

1. Buy weapons
2. Buy ammo
3. Open fire

Pretty simple.

I would like to think I would do just that if in a position to do so but noone really knows how they will react in a situation like that. Of course I am 6'4" 250# most people are not able to do the damage I could do. (not being cocky just a fact). Of course when your family is with you as they likely are in a movie your first instinct is to protect them. Fight or flight, most flee.

As far as all of this conspiracy talk goes, I remember watching a documentary on 9/11 and one line stood out to me.
It is easier for people to think that there is a conspiracy because that implies it is a difficult thing to accomplish. That helps people feel more secure because it is easier to accept than one nut job(or small group) is able to accomplish such horrific acts of violence and affect our lives, so dramatically, so easily.

Maybe the guy is protecting his buddy. This is an interesting story

http://www.wkyc.com/news/article/252995 ... e-theater-
A man who was at the Colorado movie theater where a dozen people were killed this morning, says he saw the gunman.

He says he thinks someone deliberately let the gunman inside once the movie started.

Here's what he told TV station KCNC this morning live on their newscast.

Expanded coverage

"As I was sitting down to get my seat, I noticed that a person came up to the front row, the front right, sat down, and as credits were going, it looked like he got a phone call. He went out toward the emergency exit doorway, which I thought was unusual to take a phone call. And it seemed like he probably pried it open, or probably did not let it latch all the way. As soon as the movie started, somebody came in, all black, gas mask, armor, and threw a gas can into the audience, and it went off, and then there were gunshots that took place."
