Under your desk at work? Do you mean just your hands on your phone under your desk, or did you physically crawl beneath your desk and hang out like George Costanza?

When I moved in the new house I was without internet connection for a couple of weeks, so every day, when I was going to come back home from work, I got used to stay in a parking area near the home of a friend of mine for some minutes and "steal" his wifi connection to take my turns.

On my roof. The other day I was hanging Christmas lights and I had my wife hand me my laptop so I could play.

Was it slippery and cold? This seems like it could've been the start to an unfortunate / amusing news story obit.

... While on the balcony of our hotel room in Cozumel (in town, not out at the resorts with all the other tourista's).
Around Midnight on a slow Tuesday (for Cozumel), pouring rain. Terrible Wi-Fi service, intermitent. Drinking a Havana Club (Cuban rum). Watching the locals and tourists running around down on street level, trying to avoid the rain. It may not be an unusual place, but definitely the most exotic place for me. Being from Texas, but had to play Conquer Club during our 2 week stay down in the little latitudes. NO game sitter. I wanted to play the games, it was great! And the icon that shows a flag of the country you are in ... was showing the Mexican Flag instead of the good ole' USA's flag. A first for me, no doubt! This was 2 summers ago.

In a (Dutch) coffeeshop while being absolutely hammered of weed, playing an excellent escalating sweep which took me 48 minutes to finish.

That deserves a medal in itself...last time I played high, I tried playing a turn on Waterloo and it took me 30 minutes to bombard one territory. I can't even imagine going for a sweep.

I once knew a guy who was a volunteer firefighter. He told me of a story where he was playing in an escalating game at the firehouse, when the alarm went off and he had to leave his escalating sweep of the board in mid-turn.

Perhaps one of my new year's resolution should be to play a CC turn from a strange and unusual place. Hm...

In a Best Buy on a sample computer after mine had taken a dump...I bought a new one but I would have missed turns by the time I would have set it up for the internet, which I hate doing in non speed games...hate it too in speed but it will happen.

Here are some unusual places that we should get people to place CC from:
- A courtroom
- A public bathroom
- Top of the Empire State Building

Sperm donor clinic. For some reason they set up a wi-fi network, presumably for the donors while they're waiting. Luckily, I always bring my laptop so I can listen to music and screw around, but I was quite thrilled to learn they now had internet.
Not only could I take my turns, but no longer must I whack it to those crappy magazines they have in there!

Are you whacking to your Conquer Club turns?

Sounds like an article you should submit to the newsletter.

Unusual Place? Tie between a wedding (i was a groomsman) and halfway through confessional. Gotta take those freestyle turns when you can!

Most definitely... and only I only lost 4 troops on a 45 vs 22 roll. Guess his Hail Mary worked!

waiting for the doctor to finish with my yearly exam. If him and my husband can watch Jay Leno in between my contractions with my first child, he can deal with me playing a game on my phone.
