No, it would actually. You should see some of the crap people suggest in the foundry ideas forum.

The point is though, on CC the guy would be told "you need some kind of idea for your map, also graphics, and maybe after 6 months of work you have something presentable"... in landgrab, apparently they just go "good job! have a cookie! let's put this thing in play!"

So yeah, I have some of bones to pick with CC, and I'm a bit concerned of the recent lack of attention from lack... but when the alternatives are either "any piece of crap goes" or "bunch of elite wankers make all the maps" I'd still rather stick with CC, thank you very much.

I'm pretty sure I could take a shit, snap a photo of it, upload it to my computer, make some dividing lines on the image of my poop and I bet it could be the number 1 map on that site.

well maps are not so good graphicaly, but some of maps have interesting gameplay.
one thing what its strange,its look that all maps have same colour sheme,like its created by same designer.

I have 6 observations to make...

1st...
it amazes me that owen, who often is the mods favorite whipping boy, it the strongest defender of CC.

there was so much dissing about LandGrab's maps, I had to see for myself. And sure enough, there are some ugly's there,,, but i sure did like their map filter. And when i selected Show endorsed maps only along with Over 7.0 rating the choices looked much better. And it was nice that you could sort the maps by type, and size as well... If we had a user friendly way to select maps over here, I for one would no doubt play a larger variety of CC maps. With 200 maps, why do we lack a proper map filter? It seems to me CC should have BEST MAP FILTER too.

there is lots of smack talk here about LG, but i don't see any about MC... makes me wonder if there is an unspoken respect for some prior map makers or is it something else?

in the search for paying customers, if LG and MC really are the enemy, then would it not be wise to learn more about them... garner what is best and apply that to this site. I would guess THEY are doing that. Logically though, lack likely already has a few special ops teams that has done, and continues to do recon on other competing sites.

5th...
if i were lack, and owned the dominate site, i would not be at all interested in exposing my customers to a multi-site tournament. I would instead focus on keeping my customers happy, and quickly add any sexy enhancements that my recon teams found at other sites, in addition to adding even more innovative enhancements.

and finally, i think it is unnecessary to be so strongly dissing other sites. I realize that it can make one feel bigger by saying others are smaller, but it is much better in life to focus on the positives. That is all

I, too, don't really understand the dissing of other sites. If people feel comfortable playing there, they should. I saw both sites and am very glad I'm on CC. Let's just be happy we've settled here.

On another note, I'm not interested in playing a tournament against the other sites. I don't see any benefit/fun in it. There are so many tournaments on CC that have interested me in the past/present with so many different players. Players from other sites won't make my tournament experience better.

Landgrab have some very very poor maps, and most are below par. But surprisingly they also have some neat maps that I would like to play!

Actually, I think that the opposite should be true...if my site is the best, I would not be afraid of exposing my customers to a multi-site tournament. It would automatically:
-show/reinforce to my customers that my site is the best
-expose my site to a "interested" audience, some/many of whom will see what they have been missing and switch.

Lets use Apple, Google & Blackberry as an example. And in this case lets say Apple is the best. At a convention, as Apple, would you prefer to concentrate your efforts in a room of general population, where only some might be interested in an iPad or would you prefer to be in a room comparing the iPad to Android and Playbook to those who have tablets or are serious about them? I think the other 2 have more to lose than CC. Landgrab mostly, since MC are mostly ex-CC.

that was a horrible comparison, because apple doesn't "do" consumer shows where all the PC peeps roll their products out. apple lets journalist, industry writers, etc get a preview of their products. in other words, you want to see an apple product, you either buy it onlone or to to an apple dealer and check it out. try again, and next time us a real world analogy that is actually accurate...-el Jesus negro
