The log doesn't show who you attacked and failed - thus the grease monkey script would be innefective.

Game Log 2.0 is on the to-do list.

The easy way to implement the game Log would be to be allowed to see any logs pertaining to countries that you are bordering at that given time...
The downside of this would be that each time you captured or lost a territory the log would change for previous rounds as well as current rounds... i.e. if Kamtchatka was taken in the first round by a team and you captured Alaska in turn 5 you would then be told about Kamchatka's attack in Round 1 too... But then again this might be a good thing!
So log entries for a player you couldn't see would merely be...
Player A started a turn. <- new log!
Player A Received a Card. <- should always log this!
When you got next to his territories then you would see what he'd done in that turn too... (this example would be China) i.e
Player A started a turn.
Player A Captured Siam from Indonesia from PlayerB *
Player A reinforced Indonesia from Siam *
Player A Received a Card.
* logs would be assigned to 2 countries. Siam and Indonesia.
If you then attacked Siam the previous Logs would look like
Player A started a turn.
Player A received 2 armies for holding Australia *
Player A Captured Siam from Indonesia from PlayerB
Player A reinforced Indonesia from Siam
Player A Received a Card.
* log would be assigned to all countries for that continent.

This option would change the way the game is played - no more haveing all the infromation of the game to make your choices. You would have to defend or plan against the unknown. The game log info given would give some clue but not the whole picture so I think its would be fine as it stands. Please bring on the war fog. I do think it would be easier to cheat. It would help out multi account cheaters so be careful.
In team games you would get to see all areas your teammates see as well. Bring it on

I do not want to be annoying but I kinda want this added soon. It has been on the To-Do list for a year and 4 months.

I think that this would be a great option. So please. please, please, please, and add this soon!

I like it, would it also hide who controls what territories?
or would that be the third option?

I'm a relative noobie, but I really would like the war fog option, as I've played it before online, and it's great.

Maybe the game log could be invisible, but you could "pay" a card to read the previous round's log, sort of like a recon mission? Probably hard to program though.

I think it's safe to say this can be taken off the to-do list now don't you?
Omnipotence

I think after one dies in a fog of war game, they should be able to see the whole board rather than just question marks everywhere. Then we can laugh as people make attacks in the wrong places and whatnot.

This is wide open to abuse... therefore I suspect it will never happen...
You can see what happened at the end of the game though.
