Both you and your opponent get only 1 point ....

just curious, how are the points carried over determined? and what are they for?

Here is the explanation from wikipedia : The top three from each group advances to the Super Sixes, where each qualifier from group A played each qualifier from group B. The teams also carried forward their points from the games against the other qualifiers from their group. The top four in the Super Sixes contested the semifinals.
Here are how the carry overs are calculated:
Leehar,ubcman64,Chewie1 qualified from Group B. Leehar, you won against Chewie1(starting 2nd and hence 4 points) and lost to ubcman64 . On the other hand ubcman64 won both the games against his fellow qualifiers...one game starting first ( 3 pts) and the other starting second (4 pts) so he carries over 7 points
these carry overs will then be added to your points obtained from Super sixes round and the top four in the final standing move into the semis.

Very well explained--it just sucks for me I had the most--but I do appreciate the detailed explanation
We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, therefore, is not an act but a habit.

argh, missed ubc's win, and looks like he'll get another won now as well. Anyway, just beat HA for 3 points, so I will be in the lead now, albeit only temporarily.
