Ok i have had an idea about replacing the trees for a more appropriate blockages.
Instead there could be giant fissures/cracks in the earth between regions (as in evidence of the split between countries coming)
this could only make sense between regions and so ill have to move some blockages around
This is a great idea!
As for the bridge situation I can think of 2 solutions. Go with the ancient race solution and change "Terror Island" to "Atlantis" or "Hiva". The other would be to use pterodactyls for bridges (since they can fly over impasses) and Sea dinosaurs for ports.

Let me know if you think I should change or if trees are fine. If I do change this it might mean changing bridges/boats etc to make the whole map realistic
Great idea. You could also incorporate lava flows.

next version on its way, just been a bit busy. I think i'm going with Atlantis idea, ice and lava don't seem to fit with whats in the map already.

As soon as we get an update I'd like to move this guy to the gameplay workshop.

Maybe "this guy" is a "this gal", Helix

I'd like to see an update myself. Can you at least post what you intend to include in the next update? It seems a lot has been brought up/discussed.

ok, ill try work a bit faster... though its not like this next version is that big, just need to get around to it.
Basically it will include:
-information about gondwana
-new/moving blockages (cracks between plates)
-changing terror island to atlantis or somthing similar with a bit of explanation to an ancient race/extinct acient race (the reason for bridges and boats)
Im a guy

oh right, a map
well i remembered what slowed me down, i started putting cracks between continents and then reailised that africa wasnt going to split into three...
so basically you can see from the map that the blockages between actual countries are just rivers, which sort of fits and i dont feel like changing. So do you guys think having cracks inside 'countries' and not have a very correct map (which it isnt really) would be fine, or should i just have mountian bloackages (which would be fine, as well as rivers)

Why should I be careful of the dinosaurs that "
room" the Earth?

Okay, the mountains and cracks are kinda neat, but you need to be more obvious with your description of Atlantis. People may or may not realize Atlantis is a killer neutral, despite your description. Also, I feel "Africa" should be re-named "Central Africa" since the bonus area doesn't encompass all, or even most, of the continent of Africa. Terra Australis and Nusa still need to be more different in color and the colors of the water don't match. The bridges, docks, and boats still look out of place. Could you do a much more simplified version to make it look like early man did it, such as canoes instead of sailboats and maybe even fallen-over trees for the bridges? Just some minor thoughts, I really think this is ready for GP, myself.

Excellent graphic skill did you really do them yourself?
One future problem i can see is the area around Hoploton - Ginrebis - Dancia. The borders may be a little too close.
Also canoes is a good idea, and the dinosaurs around the map could do with some transparency.

I don't think India or Nusa are worth more than 3, or South America more than 5.
If the island is a killer neutral, it would be best to note that explicitly in your legend.
Also, aren't the Alps in Europe? The region labeled that corresponds pretty well with the Atlas mountains, though.
Where are you getting these territory names? Are you just making them up?
For what it's worth, if you're going to call the island "Atlantis" I think it would be amusing to have it shaped like CC's Atlantis map, but maybe that's just me.

If I'm not mistaken Southern Europe used to be a part of Africa.

Note the tectonic boundary right above Africa.
Also,
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gondwana lists Gondwana as being on the Africa, Antarctic, Indo-Australian, and South American plates.

version 5
what are peoples thoughts on bonuses?

1. Loving the canoes
2. "dinosauria" needs to be capitalized
3. A couple spelling errors: "...from any canoe to gain access to the other canoes...", "Atlantis will revert to 1 neutral at the end of your turn."
4. Still not crazy about the bridges...
5. Bonus Changes:
---Antarctica --> +5
---Central Africa --> +6
6. There should be a canoe on Travi - just seems like a common sense thing to me.

agreed, it has 6 regions and 4 border regions... which is the same as Nusa and the same as India
