When turning in your spoils, an automatic one troop will be placed on the territory.
- If you already own the territory you are turning in and the troop level is higher than one,
it will still drop to one troop upon you turning in the spoils.

then there its no diference of Nuke spoils-what its use of these spoils,if you can not take all enemy troops.
People need to understand that they decide what option to play, and if they decide to play ninja spoil option, then they realised, that its possible to lost without armies in this games.Like in nuke spoils, people play games, and only can blame self for losing games with this spoils.
Only if you take all opponents armies with this spoils, then its worth to create these type of spoils, all other sugestions, who decrease numbers of troop achive in this way,its almost equal with nuke spoils.

When you turn in a set of spoils, you take over the territories. I would like to see it where you inherit however many troops are already on the region. Or you could just take over the territory and be given an automatic two.

What do you guys think?

ok, but, I think you would need to come up with a name to match the spoils. Naming it ninja does not make much sense.

This seems like theft, so maybe Robbing spoils or Hijacking spoils.

There was a reference to paratroopers earlier---something like that for a name might be the most fitting, depending on of course whatever details you all hammer out for the suggestion.

Options

propaganda spoils 40's version

spy spoils 80's version

sleeper cell spoils or (just sleeper spoils) millenium version

or conquer spoils; use CC's own name.....it fits, it makes sense... cant ask for much more than that

very cool idea, regardless of the name....though I have to agree that ninja doesnt exactly fit.

Conquer Spoils is not too bad. But I'd still like to see someone wrangle in all the suggestions an ideas into one formulated and posted finalization!

This is what I've gathered so far-

Variation 1:

If you turn in a card that's not yours, it becomes yours, armies and all.
If you turn in a card that's not yours, you add +2 to that country.

Play resumes as normal.

Variation 2:

All cards you turn in become yours. Army counts drop to 1 (or 2 or 3...)

Variation 3:

All cards you turn in become yours. Army counts on territories depend on Card Set turned in (1R, 2G, 3B, 4RGB on each)

Variation 4:

All cards you turn in become yours. Army counts drop to 1

Flat Rate deployment rules.

Any more ideas or discussions?

Variation 5.

All cards you turn in become your territories.

All troops already on the territories become your troops.

No, the idea is, I have 1- 1000000 troops on France. You turn in the France card and it changes to You have 1-3 on France. Convesely if you have 10 guys on France and turn in the same card you're reduced to 1 then. Though if it's not too difficult I'd rather see your own territory changed to nuetral just too make it more annoying. The biggest problem with nuke right now is the same teriitory is being hit 4 times while others are being spared completely. This will get worse if the strongest guy not only has his bonus spared but then gets to drop his extra guys inside your areas. [tone=seethingsarcasm]That will be fabulous.[/tone]

That why you had options to decide before play, if you want to play Escalating, you use these option,if you want to play Nuke, you take that, if you want to play Ninja Spoil, you will try that. If you want to play something unique and new, then you need to have something totaly diferent from NUke,and this will not be if you Kill 2-3 opponents and get 2-3 yours(and this can hepend in begining).

Right, that why we suggest adding this more option. Because right now if I want play Ninja Spoil we not can take Ninja Spoil choice.

So how about when you take over the territories you absorb the troops that already are on the territories.

There have been a few variations offered. Of the variations, I'd like to see the following:

Turn in a set of spoils. If owned, add two armies to the owned territory. If unowned, the territory becomes yours with 3 armies on the territory.

A "ninja" not only jumps you, but pretty much pwns you as well...so...

In addition to the jumped territories, player receives additional armies to deploy wherever. I'm torn as to how many, flat rate seems like too much. Escalating eventually awards too many. Perhaps a modified flat rate for ninja where a red set is 2, green is 4, blue is 6, and mixed is 8. If not that, then I would like to see a true flat rate of 5 armies awarded no matter what the color of the set. After all, with the jumping of the territories, the player is increasing the troops count by as many as 9 if all three are "unowned."

-----

This also brings up an interesting point. Will the territory count bonus (usually awarded at the beginning of the turn) award armies based on how many territories you hold before or after you deploy your ninja spoils?
