Well lets see. Right now, the graphics could use a boost of about 1000%. It has no visual appeal...definitely look into textures, and other things to make it unique. Look for other fonts, and other graphics for the map.
The thick lines are quite horrendous, and detracts from the overall appeal.
Also, it looks like your army shadows are quite a bit too small.

DublinDoogey wrote:The map's visually allright, but I honestly don't see a need for this with the BeNeLux map. You could argue that we have multiple versions of other areas, but these are pretty indistinguishable, your talents could be better used on a different map/area.
^^ I agree, except for the part thats visually allright (much work to be done yet, I think). But Benelux and Holland problem... In fact, Holland is like 60% of the Benelux map... if it was a map of Luxembourg, for example, it could be ok, because the magnification would make the whole map much different of those 3 countries in Benelux map... but this way would be like a map of western side of USA, or the northern half of Brazil, and I think it wouldnt be different enough, unless we get a new feature or something... in fact, I think having these 2 maps, they would only get the games of each other... so, I disagree about having both.
But, I want to say... although the graphics of Benelux map are much better, in terms of playability this one looks much much really much better than the Benelux one. If you drop this one, you should try another option, because I feel you have future as map maker.
Well, I was intending to do a Belgium map later my South America one, but looks like it suffer the same problem... Would the people of the Dutch Forum consider having both countries instead of Benelux map, maybe... MarV??? (

Good Initiative !
Its looking good so far and i am looking forward to the final map !
Ofcourse there should be a holland map on the conquersite and i now they are making already a benelux map but the Netherlands should be representant here aswell with its map of its own.
To the people that find benelux is enough : Think big , VOC mentality (hahah dutch joke)
The map is looking very playable ( abit like the britisch isles and that is a great compliment).
go on Lone Prophet i can't wait to play the holland map

its wisse

(name is from friesland)
but eum you tested the xml? than you can see if the size of the cirkels is good
and the colors hmm, i think it must be brighter than this and i like the idea of marval to change the red color with the blue color (red continent north and blue south) because than looks it more at the flag
you are missing an important river: "de maas"
and the lines of the continents must be smaller i think
i think its perfect than

here you got a link to a map to see where the river "de maas" is:

implanting the maas is an option only it will be in the middle of the countries and if i implant the maas then the Amsterdam-rijnCanle should also be in it and that also goes in the middle of countries

what u mean with refine borders?

by Nikita_2006
In Dutch:
Strakkere vormgeving, rechte lijnen zonder friemels en frutsels.
Wat meer een 3D look
Het lijkt nu meer op een tekening van iemand zonder vaste hand.
I translated it so it would be clearer
