1. His fifth post will lead you to the end of the tournament. Search that thread!

2. Capitol of California

3. 80 years after the birth of a TV star who was in a show with a whistled theme song

4. 33 years after the birth of a famous model who appeared on Spin City

5. CLXIII (you will need clues #6 and #7 to use this!)

6. Clue #5 times Curtis James Jackson's famous number

7. The answer from Clue #6 minus bondra's first win. Now find the user and go back to clue #1!


1. This is the final destination. All the other clues will help you to get there, and it can probably be done after clue #3, hopefully clue #4. If no one gets it, then 5-7 should make it easy.

2. The capitol of California is Sacremento. I don't specify, but most people would correctly guess that its the location of this user.

3. The famous whistled theme song is from the Andy Griffith show. Andy griffith's birthday is June 1st, 1926, so 80 years later is June 1st, 2006.

4. This clue points to the same date in case they couldn't get the first. Heidi Klum, a supermodel, was on the show Spin City and her birthday is June 1st, 1973. Both clues direct you to June 1st, 2006 which is the user's joined date. It's possible to search for that joined date and find a user with Sacremento as his location so it could end here possibly.

If not...the next three clues are much simpler-

5. CLXIII is 163 in roman numerals

6. Curtis James Jackson is 50 cent. 50*163 is 8150

7. bondra won game number 3. 8150-3 is 8147. The member with user number 8147 is fordhamflash, who joined on June 1st, 2006 and is from scaremento CA.

The clues pointed at the wrong date for me, living in Britain the user joined at 2 am on the 2nd june. (probably should have still got it tho).

I had no time to figure out the clues and so I searched Tournament, Winner and sully800 and got it

Wow. I kept searching for peter bondra on yahoo and kept getting nothing. When I finally realize what it meant [today] the spots are already filled . Also, I thought you said that only 3 people were getting in. What happened?

EDIT: I think for next time, you should have done something along the lines of "Everybody who gets it by xx/xx/xx will get in" versus "first 6 or 03/11/09, whichever comes first."

I warned Nate about it more than a month ago. The same thing happened to me: I'm in the same time zone as you.

the problem with this is, what happens when everyone gets it? over and over? I only have a limited number of people who game me the clues, i cannot keep going forever, ya know? I would have loved too, but this tournament has been a tough one to keep on a regular schedual

Alright I found a sponcer for the next round jpcloet will be providing, and his map of choice is 8-thoughts, with 12 players left these will be 3 player games, This is an important round to do well in your game, as only 4 of you 12 will advance to the final

Got the win in Game 2 (Game 4470649). My first 8 Thoughts win ever--even if I don't move on in the tourney, at least I'll have that little moral victory to hold on to.

Sorry about the timezone problem everyone, I did not think about that when I created those clues last year

I was trying to create a set of clues that you could solve in 3 clues if you were good, 4 clues if you need more time, and 7 clues if you still couldn't get it. Even with the date problem the last 3 clues could have gotten you to the right spot.

Looking back it seems to have been a little overcomplicated, but I wanted it to be a challenge after all! Sorry for the unnecessary confusion.

all games are finished, but im going to wait a couple days here lol, monday the clues will go out, I want to do this group of them without having as long of breaks in between as i did before
