I'm guessing the Van Blucher territory is reflecting something historical, but it seems out of place to me (I was looking for his specific bonus) - maybe just make it B10.

Von Blucher was put in there as request for someone...read previous page...and i made him the commander named there for the historic reason.

I think he means that "Von Blucher" and "Bulow" in the legend don't match...

yes i'm aware of that...but i'm actually going to remove von blucher and keep the bulow and ziethen,,,they can all come under the command of wellington...there are probably several things on this map that aren't totally 100% historucally accurate...but that's the price of placing something like this in cc.

Version 16

Changes:
* Bonuses altered for villages and farms but not to extent that are requested...giving +1 for village i think is too easy for the drop.
* gave each tert a little bevel...add something extra to map.
* noatation that Napoleon and Wellington start neutral
* still to come extra tert or tow upon agreement of the required number of terts for this game.

I'll say it again - but I still think that the Napolean and Wellington bonuses should be territory bonuses...

Version 17

Changes:
* addition on one tert to Imp Guard...this now makes 104 territories as requested.
* Bulow changed to von Blucher

I would like to keep Napoleon and Wellington to one single tert each, but have them start as 4 neutral as suggested by Yeti_C.

I am not keen on the objective of Wellington capturing Napoleon as this never occured.

i forgot to post earlier, is there anyway you can make the army circles at the top of the map (H01 C01 and C05) not be covered by the legend's shadow?

and CO5 army circle is different as well (this must be pissing you off lol so i doubled checked all the circles to see if any are different) the gradiant inside it is about 4 pixels too far to the left

and can you move B01 and B05's circles so they arent touching the borders as much if possible?

All those things are fixed in the version 17 above...please F5 to see the changes. Thanks Herakilla for all your assistance on this and to everyone else....

Awesome... I think every ABBA song should be turned into a CC map!

Are you still working on the red and blue symbols? Because the bright red and bright blue don't fit the map, and the horse looks like it belongs on a chess set rather than a war map.

Mmmm...don't quite know what to make of that comment. Somehow there is room for seriously bad interpretation with that statement. But i'll prefer to take it on sleeve...i'd hate to do every Abba song....can you imagine making "The Winner Takes It All" - one tert only; or even worse "The Heat Is On" - oops sorry i think that was already attempted with DiM's egg and sperm affair. LOL

Well i can work on them but i think that they are OK as is...if you read back through the thread (please) you'll see that cavalry has already been changed from flags, commanders from hats, and artillery from cannon.

If you think they really need changing, perhaps some suggestions might befit your cause with colour suggestions...remembering regardless of the fact that they look like chess pieces, most importantly is that they must be instatntly recognisable to everyone. :)

The horses can remain as is. My initial concern was that the blue and red of those elements isn't in keeping with the color of the rest of the map, as you have softer colors throughout the rest of the image. But I recognize that perhaps that's intentional, as it's important that the two sides not be confused... it's a matter of individual preference and totally your call.

This might look bad - and if so just say so and I'll leave it alone - but what if the red horse were flipped horizontally so it looks as if they are engaging in the battle and not running away?

I appreciate the use of letters to go with the color scheme - very user friendly.

And really, isn't every map Winner Take All? :)

Loving that idea - do the same with the flags too...

Obviously the artillery is symetrical.

I also left it as red and blue as these are more the traditional colours that one might expect to see on a gameboard representing French and British.
I realise they don't quite fit with the rest of the colour scheme, but they do stand out and i think that is important.

Flip...done! Not a prob. Please F5 to see the changes. Thanks for commenting on colours also. :)

Think we could maybe change the name? 'Cause I live right by the city of Waterloo, and that map looks nothing like it.
