It means as much as you want it to mean.

Oh crapula. I'll change it in the next.

However, since this isn't a gameplay concern, maybe it's time we got this thing stamped and moving on... 8-[

I realize I'm way late on the gameplay discussion here, so this suggestion is probably not going to go anywhere, BUT-

London with no Tube?? Unless is isn't supposed to be set in modern times, I see no reason for that omission. At the very least, you could have it connect a few territories. It doesn't have to have a bonus like other rail maps, just a few more avenues to move around with.

Just my $0.02. Other than that it looks great.

too much so!

i believe that the bonuses are balanced now and have asked for another CA to give the gameplay stamp if the map meets requirements.

one minor change i'd like to see, irrespective of the above, is for the kensington-wandsworth bridge to disappear. it doesn't have a function except to make west, which is already the most difficult bonus, even harder to hold.

ian. :)

I don't think it does... Kensington is a border territory for west regardless of the bridge, unless you also hold nw, in which case you'll be getting a high enough bonus to account for having to defend it... however I'll keep that in mind for beta, if it turns out the bridge hurts the gameplay it can be removed then.

The tube won't be included in this map, sorry. It's way too large and complex to be represented on a small map like this, and also does not fit the gameplay in any way.

Having not looked at this map in a while I just thought it worth mentioning that I kind of like the graphical direction this map is headed in. I think its kind of reminiscent of the simplicity of the tube maps

I think there's plenty of london flavour on the map. But thanks for the stamp!

I'm going to start working on the small map unless there are any larger complaints coming up.

I think he means you need more Fish and Chips on the map.

Hi natty,

We are looking good. I have a few things to suggest but they are superficial polishing suggestions at best.

-Firstly your signature feels washed out in a grey colour in that bottom right corner. I think it will look better if it is the full blinding white colour and incorporated as part of your title. Perhaps under the title and aligned to the right? I say this because your title is perfectly centered in that space just now....but there is a bit of space between 'London' and the east continent...which I personally don't like.

-Your legends text at the bottom left corner looks very cramp and squashed. I see there is plenty of space to spread them out both vertically and horizontally. I would like to see more blank pixels between the different lines of the legends...but not to much to take up all the space in that area. As this would cover up the background picture to much. Alternatively as a wild suggestion you could probably fit the legends text in the dead space to the top left. That way it doesn't get in the way of the background image.

-You have the continent names as a watermark in each continent. Right now though they look a little clumpsy and out of place. I think this is because of how small they are. I think they will fit better if you increase the size and stretch them across the whole continent. Like I have done in new worlds.

As a total wild card suggestion. How about taking the London subway map and subtly overlaying it on top of your map? You are going for the metro theme of London why not incorporate the underground network in there? Might no work but it could be cool.

Let me know what you think.

Hi gimil, thanks for your input.

- the signature could go under the title, I'd rather align it left though to keep it covering what's visible of big ben.

- I don't think the top left is a good place for the legend, it'd make the image unbalanced - as it is now it provides a sort of counterbalance for the title, being in the opposite corner. Moving it in the upper left would make the image too top-heavy and empty in the bottom. But I think I can spread it out somewhat.

- I'll see what I can do with these, the only limitation is that there needs to be space for the army numbers without them covering up the bonus area names.

- Lastly, the underground map is a bit too complex to overlay on the map, there's already the image showing through the map and adding more stuff on it would just make it an incomprehensible mess... It's a nice idea but I don't think it's really feasible at this point.

Anyway, I'll get working on the changes shortly.

Nah this won't work due to copyright infringements. Which brings this up, is the background picture royalty free?

Natty I am 100% satisfied with everything you have just done except the watermarks. Good work.

I noticed you said you are trying to stop them being overlapped by army numbers. But by being a watermark having army numbers run over them shouldn't really be an issue. I would like to see them ever bigger an some of them angled to take up more space in a continent. i.e. southwest could go from top left to bottom right across its continent.

Apart from that I think we are getting close. Keep up the good work.
