Well, it's also about how owenshooter, et. al. were right and how we should praise them for being right or apologize to them for accusing them of not being right... so there's that too.

If pressured, I would probably lump such individuals in with the writhing cliques. If not, I would prefer to avoid dignifying them with recognition, either positive or negative. I can ignore egos; I get quite put off with systemic bullying.

Seems like CC is about games and some interesting conversation. I really don't care if they want to make any "private" (member exclusive) forum a flame haven or pure porn fest, as long as those involved all agree and they don't do something that will get CC in trouble.

HOWEVER, this came a bit too close to that possibility. When it goes from a joke to serious accusations, CC is just not the forum where they should be voiced, in my opinion. And, no, we don't need to all be dragged into the tit-for -tat judgements.

Insomnia certainly started it, with her "goodbye" thread. Responses that "no, this is not accurate, she is lying" we appropriate, but the spiral outward... just doesn't seem like it belongs in CC. Not if we want to keep this site open, public and available for varied discussions.

I would hate to see this result in some kind of "no goodbyes" prohibition, because we have had situations where people have posted real and serious stuff (Khazalid, for example). And, sure, some people are going to take advantage. However, then all folks need to do is say "this person is lying.." give some evidence, if appropriate.. and then leave it, at least as far as CC is concerned. The rest... can be dealt with in your own lives or other sites.

A breach of Player's sensibilities... which (to her) is just about the worst offense ever.

According to CC guidelines, there have been no breaches of privacy. Insom posted all her own personal info (such as her real name and link to her IMDB page), so that's ok. A link was posted to her boyfriend's facebook page - but he would have to be a member of CC in order to file a complaint, as the guidelines only state personal information abuse applies if it is directed towards a user. I could post facebook profiles of people that are not on CC, and it would not be personal information abuse.
