You forgot Twenthe, that belong to province Overijssel (with Salland).
And the Betuwe is also Gelderland.

Move back the coat of arms next to the country they belong to.

Oké, in update 16 I'll put them back and we see what others think about it.

Andy (also everybody else),

Is it an option to put the originel countrynames on the map and make those names shorter in the XML.

Such as:
- Goeree-Overflakkee on the map and Goeree O. on the XML.
- Schouwen-Duiveland on the map and S. Duiveland on the XML.
- Noord-Holland on the map and N. Holland on the XML.

I notice that on one map that I played there was the same as above.

I will be waiting for you're respons.

Hm, I'd also like to hear what some of the other people think regarding that idea.

I think that's fine as long as it's consistent, which I know might prove difficult in translation to English.

I just think Goeree O. compared to S. Duiveland is inconsistent because you have the second name abbreviated and then the first. If you could make it so preferably just the second name was abbreviated I think it could work.

Hm, guess you made a mistake, cause Vlaamse Ardennen really should at least keep Vl. Ardennen as name, as it is incorrect if you let it this way.

UPDATE 16

Below the latest development of the map BeNeLux.

UPDATE 16
Larger map :
(600x550)

(Click to reduce to mapsize 500x458)

Some suggestions that were mentioned:

- Other "attack arrows" over the Monarchy borders.
- Capitalstars in the legend are straight underneath eachother.
- Coats of arms next to the country they belong to.
- A few attackdots over sea instead of "bridges". Because in that area are in reallife no "bridges".
- Lightblue armycircles of Zuid-Nederland. Now the blue armynumber is better to see than the dark armycircles in previous updates.

So let us know what U think about the map BeNeLux so far.

I prefered the straight arrows. That's my only complaint, I really like this map.

I agree. Change the arrows and it will be fine for quenching.

these arrows are better i think, the only thing to be done is the letters on the lags, wich aren't perfectly easy to read ;)

Don't listen to the foreign members.

It's just great, a lot better than the straight arraws

So keep them

And regarding the names, I agree with Keyogi. Keep them consistent in either shortening the first or the second.

This is what I wanted to do with the suggestions men wrote:

- Noord-Holland on the map and Noord-Hol. on the XML.
- Zuid-Holland on the map and Zuid-Hol. on the XML.
- Goeree-Overflakkee on the map and Goeree-O. on the XML.
- Schouwen-Duiveland on the map and Schouwen-D. on the XML.
- Zeeuws-Vlaanderen on the map and Zeeuws-Vl. on the XML.
- West-Vlaanderen on the map and West-Vl. on the XML.
- Oost-Vlaanderen on the map and Oost-Vl. on the XML.

Is this what you meant, Andy?

I think that you must put more black text of terittory name, and she will be more better for read, ofcourse these my opinion, and you dont need to apply these.

You are on the right track MarVal. I think by keeping things consistent like that, it will lessen that chance for confusion.

Some suggestions that were mentioned:

- Coats of arms on the right of the Monarchy they belong to.
- The place of the Capital legend a little bit higher.
- With XML (only large version of the map).

Note: "Attack arrows" over the Monarchy borders are gone. You can vote which one you think better. See first Topic or page 17.

So let us know what U think about the map BeNeLux so far. And of the positions of the armynumbers.
