Having been ignored at least 3 times now, I think I'll condescend to answer your question:

Yes!

Fifa and ISS Pro Evolution are the two most popular series, with a game out roughly every year.

There's also lots of variants like street football, and football management games too.

that's cool :D here in America, we have football (the american variety) games, street football, and football management too. Recently EA Sports bought the NFL license, so now the only football game being made is Madden, and NFL Head Coach.

u have rugby too?

In America we also have the Winning Eleven series of soccer games, EA's Fifa Soccer series, and the one EA Rugby game.

I think Winning 11, and Pro. Evolution might be the same series, not sure though.

Pretty much all games are trans-continental anyway. We get Madden and shit like that too.

I tried playing Winning Eleven 8 once, but I think I'll stick with hockey games. Not that I have anything against soccer, I just hate not being able to beat the heck out of the people on the other team. In hockey games, nobody cares if you try to kill people on the other team.

i think the Wii will own after Super smash bros. brawl and super mario galaxy are released. until then, its kinda boring (except for Zelda:twilight princess and call of duty 3, which are both out now)

I remember once in the game Soccer America, I was angry at a goal keeper that blocked my shot so i walked up to him and hit the 'pass' button and my player kicked him right in the stomach.

Now that's realism!

I respectfully disagree and say that Resident Evil 4, Eternal Darkness, and Super Smash Bros. Melee are tied for best GC game.

EDIT: And my favorite soccer game of all time is Soccer Brawl for the Neo-Geo.

Hmmm... wish I'd played Mario strikers, perhaps I shall pick up a copy. With the Wii out, all gamecube games are hella cheap, and second hand consoles for 35 euro... sweet. If I didn't already have one.

Smash bros or Pikmin gets my vote, maybe Windwaker too, had windwaker been anything other than a Zelda game I think everyone would have been like WOAH BEST GAME EVER and such, but Zelda has so much to live up to.
