Obviously, you all know the next set of games has gone out; we've got our first taste of interleague play for most teams this time around.

I'll update the standings/schedule posts in just a little bit, but here's your current list of division leaders:

• AL East: Boston, by just 1/2 game over Tampa Bay and 3 over Toronto.
• AL Central: K.C., by 5 1/2 games over Cleveland.
• AL West: Texas and L.A. are tied, although L.A. has a slight edge in winning percentage, having played 2 fewer games.
• NL East: N.Y., by 1 game over Atlanta and 5 over Philly.
• NL Central: Chicago, by 5 1/2 games over Pittsburgh and 6 over Houston.
• NL West: S.F., by just 1/2 game over Brooklyn and 3 over Arizona.

There is, of course, still plenty of time for those standings to change--those of you who aren't listed shouldn't despair yet!

Following a recent hot streak which included winning a series at Fenway Park (5004292) the blue jays went on the road and were embarrassed by their opponents. Their first stop was St. Louis to face the browns where things went downhill from the start, dropping the first two games (5053038, 5053044) but winning the 3rd (5053040). However they were unable to build on the momentum in Atlanta where they were promptly swept: (5048491,5048494,5048496)

This tourney isn't actually dead; it's on life support. Here's the deal: no more promises I can't necessarily keep. 2 series per update, with 2 updates per week, just isn't happening. I'm learning a ton about how much "fun" a large tourney like this can be. The summer's been more hectic than expected, both on and off this site. So I'm definitely not keeping up with this tourney as well as I would like.

I will do my darnedest to get you guys updates as regularly as possible, because I do want this tourney to reach a successful conclusion, and I'll try to let you know if/when there's going to be a break. You're going to get one new series today--I'll start sending PM's out shortly.
