with these 8 player games, you will really see an increase in scores now, talk about inflation


with the old system, like i said, i thought you'd never see anyone get to 5K, but now with 8 players games, i think it will be possible sometime in 2008.

I mean an 8 player singles, you could play 5 games and lose 4 and win 1 and gain points, really favors the singles players.

Well its about time something favored singles players then, eh?

8 player games may increase the scores of players who are good at them, but thats not score inflation. That's simply the best players getting points by winning more (like your example of there being more and more good players so that scores at the top are better).

Inflation is an increase in everyones score at the top due to many more points being added into the system, through lots of bad players and lots of new recruits who never return.
