That is true; but if we mass claim and there is a doc or roleblocker that person is then exposed with no way to protect them going into Night 3. So if we're going to potentially reveal another town power role, we'd better be getting something real good out of that deal.dgz345 wrote:Even if we mass claim there is no need to vote today.
In the scenario where town has a doc, if the doc thinks strike is cleared as town cop, then the doc is almost certainly going to protect strike. So in that scenario strike almost certainly isn't going to die tonight either way. Revealing the doc wouldn't be about strike dying or not dying, it would be about giving him more information so he can choose who to investigate tonight. We have to balance that against the information it gives scum.dgz345 wrote:Then strike is free

Right, I understand. I'm just extremely confused about what we ought to do in the situation where someone gets counterclaimed. Stakes are too high to automatically lynch the person who gets countered. But at the same time, I can't reasonably ask you or anyone to commit in advance not to do this.Ragian wrote:Well, in that scenario, you lynch whoever you think is most likely to be scum. Like always. I think timing and the nature of the claim is very important. That's why I'd prefer a claim now. That doesn't necessarily mean that we must lynch.

Probably. If we mass claim and the protective roles revealed. One of us will be dead tomorrow and Ill probably still have no result.Ragian wrote:If the protective role is a jailer, you'll have no result tomorrow (unless the jailer gambles).
If there's a scum roleblocker, you'll have no result tomorrow.

Target someone else tonight I'll try to defend you.strike wolf wrote:Yesdgz345 wrote:@Strike did you target me?

That's one uncomfortably large bread crumb.Ragian wrote:What's that supposed to mean. Are you breadcrumbing a protective role now?
But does it mater that I made it obvious?Ragian wrote:YOU made it obvious, mate.
Do I need to explain that I think that is the best way for town to win?Ragian wrote:Why would you draw attention to yourself like that?

I read the consensus as a no lynch vote. Not as none claims.Ragian wrote:I just don't get why you would claim when we agreed that we wouldn't claim till D4 despite my efforts to convince the rest otherwise. Why would you go against consensus? And why didn't you vocally agree to a mass claim then?
