Because that is all a matter of fairness. Some of us can't get on our computers at the same times as others and with so many people all across the world, it keeps it balanced.
If 3 people out of four can be on around the same time every day, then that fourth player is screwed.

As for terminator escalating, it's a lot of fun. With players that know what they're doing (and if they don't you still have a chance for easy points), there's not more luck involved than in other types at all. Oh and freestyle sucks

meh, freestyle and esc are ok. I prefer seq and flat rate, but whatever. I'd prefer unlimited forts. But meh, I'd join partially any mafia risk game.
