Hi everybody!

For anyone who hasn't noticed, I have rescued the TPA2 tournament called Assassinations by Fours, abandoned by MrGlassB.

Some of you have been in several of my tournaments. Glad to see you again! A few of you I have never met before. Greeting and salutations!



My update post will be: viewtopic.php?f=91&t=156584&start=195. That is at the top of page 14 of the tournament thread. I have no power to edit MrGlassB's post, so look at my post for updates. I will also have other posts from time to time, but for anything important like scoreboards I will provide a link in my main post.

For those who have not worked with me before, please note that if you have any questions or comments I prefer if you post in the thread rather than sending me PMs. I do check tournament threads very regularly. Maybe not every single day without fail, but certainly on most days. (Obviously, if something is of a confidential nature a PM is needed, but for 95% of issues a post in the thread is best.)

A couple notes:
1. Normally I make it a policy not to play in my own tournaments, but in this case I signed up long before there was any hint that MrGlassB would pull a disappearing act, so I hope nobody minds that I'm staying in it, and yes I will be trying to win.
2. I note that we have two or three freemiums. You are required to keep a slot open for this tournament. I'm not a total dictator; I will be accomodating if you forgot and need a couple days to free up a slot, but if there is a persistent problem with your slots I will drop you. I will also drop anyone who misses two consecutive invites without bothering to let me know why.

Anyway, the first game in Stage 2 has been created and invitations sent out. On with the killing!

Here's hoping that at some point you'll go prem again and that we'll see you in plenty more tournies to come!

In the meantime, though, I would like to thank you for being considerate and posting ahead of time that you intend to leave the tourney, instead of just vanishing without a word as so many people do. You've done exactly what I wish everyone did: plan ahead, give the TO notice as far in advance as possible, and join your games up to that point. Kudos!

One game had to be re-made because I accidentally invited the wrong person.

wombat4 and istrici have now missed 3 consecutive invites and are out. Replaced by Tin Trumpet and Gilligan.

Round 2 is finally completely finished! We are starting round 3!



A few announcements.:

1. Gilligan has switched his home map to Poison Rome.

2. I have been eliminated in round 2...

3. Starting with round 3, I am switching from making the groups with Random.org to using the built-in RAND function in Excel. For those with mathematically-oriented OCD issues, this will result in a slightly less perfect level of randomization. For myself, it will be a time saver, and I honestly don't see it being unfair in any way.

Twin Killer and brett2000 have missed their first invites. Re-sending pro forma, although it looks as if both of them may have left CC.

I was a softie and gave them three invites each instead of two, and it didn't make any difference. They're both No Shows and are eliminated.

Group 3 and Group 5 therefore go directly to their second game. Group 1 also finished its first game, so I've started up their second as well.

Group 4 has finished its first game; starting the second.

All groups except Group 5 have completed their second game. In order to keep up the momentum, I'll start everybody's third game now, and Group 5 will have to catch up whenever it can.

All groups have now completed their second game, and all third games have now been started.

Mr. Gix has missed 3 invites and is eliminated.
