WHAT???

2 people in one thread who say FF8 is the best. I don't get it. I have always treated it like a redheaded stepchild. I will take MQ or X2 over it any day lol.

Final Fantasy 7 has to be the best. I mean it has it's own mafia game. Not to mention half the time I mention FF, someone has to bring up Sephiroth.

I have nothing to contribute to the last few pages because I never played any FF games. Maybe I played one...once or twice 15 years ago, but I don't even remember which one.

Thanks Shield ;)

P.S. most of this stuff isn't really contributing - but it's helping us to pass through the time and hopefully help us start to go somewhere. In the last few pages, to be fair, there's very little material connected to the actual game.

I have never even heard of Final Fantasy to be honest. I joined this game because I wanted to get into mafia on the forum. But either way, I am back. As posted in my other game, I was sick yesterday, and still am. I got to reading, and I see there are no leads yet.

To be completely fair, there's really nothing to pick on barring Victor's reaction to the secret vote and some people's inactivity, but it's a bit early to pick people off due to inactivity. The thing is... Very little people are actually posting and there's even less content.

I've been lurking just not voting. Not really too worried about having one vote against me. But hey, I might as well

vote killboy108

... so now you're gonna unvote me right? ;)

Also, no idea what any of the FF talk is. Same as ghostly just wanted to try out some of this mafia stuff. Starting to think I picked the wrong one, since this one seems so damn complicated :o

Well mafia is based on scumtells and so far in this game there have been none dropped (not unusual for Day 1 especially as it's still a bit early). Usually absence of real leads, we vote for inactives however:

Did not see lion coming on that one.

I am pretty sure it never says what he is. It is to be interpreted that he is a red lion (cat) OR wolf like beast (dog).

but I am pretty sure that it never actually says he is one or the other. correct me if i am wrong. So either could be correct.

Will this help us catch scum? If not can we play the game?

It shows us who is active, and who knows what about the character roles. Obviously if you know more about the game, you know which characters are likely and not likely. So yeah, it does help us catch scum.

Or it's easy brownie points for an otherwise submarining scum to appear active. Knowing game mechanics will be useful when people start claiming but it has no direct effect on seeing who is actually scum unless you believe that everyone who doesn't know game flavor is scum which is a logical fallacy.

This. With the ease of being able to talk about game flavor without having to discuss actual cases, I doubt any scum who's even semi-experienced missed that opportunity if they were simply lurking. So at this point I would say inactivity is not currently bandwagon worthy.

The only problem with this is the assumption that the scum would know theme well enough to discuss the flavour, which might be true... But also may be false. Furthermore, the thing is that even as far as flavour discussion goes - it's mostly very general and not even anything about game mechanics can be taken away from it. Besides, I've already said that going for an inactive right now is not really something I'd like to do for another simple reason: some people may choose not to post yet as they don't have anything to say as there's little to none content and they don't see a reason to talk about something that is not game related. While I'd gladly get some of inactives later, when the actual discussions start, this is a bit different.
But... It was so artistically done.

Hmm... A pretty clear OMGUS from agent. However, not enough for a vote. Not sure what to do here.
