Well, I don't really like this, but even if Mr. Squirrel turns out to be innocent, we'll know who to lynch next. Townie would not lie, so that would mean Safari would be not town.
Vote Mr. Squirrel.

Or I got an insane cop role. The beauty is that I know I'm not the cop so this should be a free scum kill without the mafia killing off the town after that.

No, I'm still voting him. I don't think that I'd be insane cop given the nature of the present received and the size of the game. Still, it's always a possibility. There's no downside to me sharing the result of my investigation. If you have a better case, I'd like to hear it.

That's interesting because I investigated comm9 last night and got scum. Either there is an insane cop role and either me or safari has it, or safari and comm are scum buddies using the gift confusion to get an early lynch.
Furthermore, my gift arrived late. I'd really rather it not come down to this, since it would mean outing the cop gifter, but whoever sent a gift in late to me can verify as a last resort. At the very least the cop gifter should know who they are now.
I investigated comm last night because I was suspicious of him for trying to start that bandwagon on me early in day 1 (I know its OMGUS-like

) and also because he wasn't posting for a while.
For now:
vote commThere's the possibility that there are multiple cop roles with varying sanities but there's also the possibility that you're both scum.

I think my gift might have had a clue to my sanity. I got a Library Access Card which allowed me to go to the library and research anyone (investigate). This leads me to believe that I would be sane unless the library lies to me.

Hm. Ok. My cop investigation was from a ouija board. I'm not sure that role description is enough to tell for sure which one of us is insane. However its much more believable to me that you actually did get a cop gift since we both have similarities in our gift descriptions (receiving an item which allows us to investigate).
unvote for now then.

Huh, this is pretty interesting.
It seems unlikely that we have 2 sane cops imo, so for now, I suggest we don't quick lynch anyone and let them speak.
Also, I know the flavour text doesn't mean much, but it does seem to strongly imply this wasn't a mafia kill.

Something tells me we have a busdriver somewhere in this game because I put some protection on ga7 last night.
I actually got quite a few gifts:
protection (bandages)
jailkeep (moldy cheese that made someone sick and scared away any killers)
watcher (glowstick)
vote steal (gift card that bribes people)
I used my jailkeep on ga7, my doc protect on skoff, my watcher on myself (It said I could and safariguy did target me

), and my vote-steal on spiesr (cuz he was acting rele scummy at the end of the day yesterday.
Now, I don't know how this all went down at all. Somehow my protection came off ga7. I couldn't have been roleblocked because my watcher and vote-steal abilities still worked. I would guess that ga7 and I got busdrived but that still doesn't make sense because ga7 wasn't scum. Could there be a framer or miller mafia gift? I can't really give a defense to "investigated him and got scum" but can you at least not lynch me until we get this figured out? I wish I could give you more than just my word that I am not scum, but theres nothing for me to really say here. My only defense is my actions last night, but even those you have to take my word on.

The flavor in /'s post also hunches towards a busdriver, with the shirt and all. However that has to do with someone shooting ga7 because s/he thinks he is someone else. for your story to be true there must be a second busdriver.
This is weird.

It's actually my anniversary today so I'll not be on long, I just wanted to mention though:
It looks like Squirrel and I hogged most of the gifts
For the record, I received a tracking ability and used it on Safari. He did indeed visit Mr Squirrel.

Well, I can confirm that my vote was stolen by the recipient of karel's gift. Of course, this has no real bearing on his alignment as there is no reason that he would lie about that action either way. So it looks like our choice today is to lynch either squirrel or commander. We have to claimed investigations that could be sane insane or something else entirely. So I guess we should just pick one and see how it turns out...

Huh, ok, something screwy might have happened, but I'm not sure about alignment. It's possible the mafia sent gifts to each other and one of them used a framer ability on Mr. Squirrel so I won't discount that. Since kwan also had an investigation that gives us at least two different people to build cases on so I won't be so hasty about pushing for a lynch.

Obviously, I can't say anything more than I am town.
Retrospectively, I can now see it was a bad choice to send you that gift, but oh well... Since I was incredibly busy, I forgot to send the gift during the day and when I saw that it was night stage, I PM'd slash and he still allowed me to send my gift and I sent it to Kwan. Probably a bad decision to a guy who you have pursued during the day
Also, I did receive one gift and it is stop the lynch (I don't want a person who did this to step up, but I want you to know your gift), so basically I can stop a lynch and if you guys will try to lynch me, I will do so. I would suggest going against this, as it would be a wasted day, but I can't stop you.
If I will be NK'd this night and die and you will know that my gift is not of a paranoid or mad cops', do know that Kwan is a scum.
I don't think I have anything else to say and if anyone has a question, feel free to ask.

Trying to out the bus-driver?

Scummy?
As for Commander9, it seems that he is claiming to have to gift the investigation that kwanton received. If that is true then it could be a shame to lose that ability, unless of course he is scum, or if the ability turns out to be some sort or useless vairient such as paranoid. As for the Ouija board itself, it could definitely be some sort of alternate sanity cop. I went to go look-up some variants of investigative roles, but didn't really find much. Is it possible that it could be a seer? There hasn't been any mention of werewolves or anything in this game so it seems unlikely, but I am not sure we can rule it out just yet. Back to commanders claim, do you think it is possible that he is lying about being the one to send the investigation to kwanton in order lure out the real owner, thinking that he is going to go down anyway? On another point, he claims to have received mayor powers to stop the lynch and says that he will use them to save himself. At this point there is no way to tell for sure if he is telling the truth about that. Do we even want to take the risk of him forcing a lynch no lynch day, or do we want to go for squirrel today and save commander for tomorrow or something?

So you are saying that it was a bad decision to send an investigative power to someone who was suspicious of you? It seems like it would only be
bad if you are actually scum.

Not really, since the he's not trying to out "the" busdriver. Remember that tonight we have a different bus driver

We should at least test one of these two investigators. Since we cannot test Commander as he will stop the lynch (or so he claims) I suggest we go with Squirrel for a bit.
Also, I don't think everyone has posted yet.

Whoops, I guess that bit slipped my mind. Once I remember that part, then it looks like that the person who used the presumed bus-driver action could come out without really causing any harm. I doubt it will help us sort out much pertaining to squirrel or commander, as ga7 seems to have been switched but was not scum so he wasn't switched with either of them. The info could be of some minor use to anyone who had their actions affected by the switch though. Alternatively, whomever killed ga7 could always come out and tell us who the were actually targeting. That would let us figure out the switch another way.
