Now that's not very nice! No, my role doesn't say I hate you, but it does mention that some people blame me for the apocalypse, or possibly just professional jealousy?

Well I thought herk had a very helpful post. It did highlight one thing for me anyways, we have a lot of rather inactive people. Incidentally, I do not believe there was confusion over the numbering. It said that we had 22 survivors, but closer examination revealed one of them to be the corpse of Paris Hilton, meaning there are 21 living "survivors".

This is the closest anyone has been to helping me with this. Thanks. If you reread though, it says there are 21 survivors, THEN it says we had 22 survivors. THEN it says there is the body...

Perhaps this is my paranoia speaking, but back in the old days of mafia I recall being in a zombie themed game where there was similar 'hinkyness' with the numbering in the mods posts. In the end it turned out that the mod had actually been one of the players the entire time. The mod stated that there were no mistakes in the posts, and herk already pointed out why the Paris thing doesn't work based on what was written, so I suppose another possibility is that there is a hidden player among us? A hidden player scenario could encompass many things though.
Eh, any suggestions towards that matter are going to involve a lot of assumptions and leaps of faith.

Everything is allowed.
That being said I thin Jeraado is going to be the main topic of interest for a moment. His comment is simply screaming mad scientist ( IRL, not the named mafia role) and it is questionable whether a character like that would be an ally of the town.

Why would he hypothesize on this?Nothing but some early joke material. One post, seems like he isn't saying much. One post, joke vote. Two posts, nothing of substance.Votes almost as many times as he posts. Also, Commander9, can you explain this? Was the numbering a mistake?Commander9 wrote:Yet another night has gone through to the lone survivors. No one felt safe, no one felt assured of what the future had promised to them... Some very intelligent, some very nice looking, some very fugly, some didn't even look too human... Only after realizing that there were only 22 of them left, they've noticed a half chewed body of Paris Hilton - the sight was not very nice...

If you've got problems with that, you can always PM me, but I do not want this thread to become a petty discussion such as this (Herk). In hindsight I should've just answered no - the 'blaming me for the apocalypse' was to add flavour to my backstory, not any substance unless there is some very clever link between our roles that I'm not aware of. If there is the only way I could see it is by us both being town, but just to reiterate - I think this is a red herring

Wow herk, keeping track of a big list of posts for scum-hunting purposes? Picking up some distraction techniques from haggis?
*tucks hand in pants* thinking about the scene, it was probably a joke. 21 of us were counted as survivors until we noticed that skeletal half chewed up thing we thought was a corpse (Paris Hilton) was actually alive, making 22. It's probably just added flavor, but seeing as the mod underlined the word
Commander9 wrote:Just to clear one thing up - I am not playing and there are no hidden players.
it could be a game mechanic that we likely have no control of, perhaps the zombie faction grows randomly?

Don't put my name in parenthesis like this whole thing is directed at me. I was the only player who seemed to notice your math skills needed some work. I tried to bring this up to you originally by bolding the numbers. You didn't respond. Then I asked others to explain to me because maybe I wasn't understanding what you meant. You don't always place your punctuation in a manner that is easy to understand. Skoffin brought up all this about you playing in the game. If you really feel you need to belittle someone then make sure of who you need to be talking to. Don't threaten me by saying you will make it worse for me. You seemed to have made a mistake and I brought it to your attention. I did reread the first rule. Let me quote from it now.

This is one thing that really bugs me. Haggis never made that list in New Briarsburg. I made that list and he quoted it from my post. I made a list in NB and I am making a list here. I may very well go to the trouble of making a list for every game I am in.
Oh, and if you continue talking about Commander9's posts he'll throw another hissy fit and blame me for talking about it...

You're the one who has baiting the whole game. If you don't like the game, feel free to be asked replaced. I didn't want to be involved in any conflicts and I don't plan to change that. I suggest we move on one way or the other.

I'd argue that ethical depends on what the game is and whether the players understood these to be part of the game before joining up, but I suppose this debate isn't appropriate here. I find these discussions interesting though, so maybe I'll bring it up elsewhere. I'll drop the topic here though so as not to detract from the game further. Sorry everyone.
I meant to say NPC, whups.
Fuzzy looks like he could be a lyncher, I think it would be worth pressuring him some more. Back in my day, when you hated someone you generally tried to get them destroyed. Wouldn't want to see that happen here.
Aage brings up a point on safari. His actions are those that are often called out as scumtells, but more often than not they are actually noobtells. He needs to cut it out, but I don't think it makes him mafia.
