No, not blacky. I'm going off chap's bus/investigation from yesterday wherein he said that there is 1 scum out of ragoo/tobi/myself/strike. People here have claimed that tobi would have appeared as town on that report, and if that is the case then strike/ragoo/me are still suspect by that report. Chap is added for obvious reasons, and no one really suspects strike. Therefore ragoo, chap and me should be the focus.

Ragian claimed he used his bonus ability last night and targetted TX, Blacky, and chap. The result he received is that 1 of those 3 is a healer and only 1 of the non-healers is scum.

Same thing isn't it. The way Ragian claimed, it sounded legit. But, chap has disappeared. Has he been mod prodded?

Is this what you mean? I know this rule. But I haven't gone for food. My bonus ability was triggered by me using my regular ability correctly. No mention of it being a one off. I still don't know what I did correctly. I made several attempts to use my ability, and at some point, the mod sent me a PM saying I was successful and that my bonus was enabled. Unfortunately, he didn't indicate which of my attempts was successful.

Similarly we should test our investigators. I just don't get pumping exactly one person at a time for incriminating information. You know scum will lie, and honest people might be compelled to reveal something that we wouldn't want scum to know.

I like the way Clap devised a test, unfortunately, it had a design flaw. Ragian is also testing in a systematic way. I like that. But, mass claim, going down the list one at a time, I don't see it. And the way we are doing it is wrong. BuJ should have gone first. The first claimer should be the most townish, and he should suggest the next person. Why did BuJ point at Blacky without himself claiming or otherwise demonstrating that he was town? Why, well because Pika has been calling BuJ confirmed town repeatedly, but when asked to explain, he says he can't reveal. That makes Pika and BuJ look like a team, if not scum. Several have pointed it out, yet they started this silly mass claim anyway.

I think we are about to find out something from Clap. It appears he wants to be lynched. He is scum and wants suicide by cop, or he's town. If he flips town, that will completely discredit Pika and BuJ and their badly designed mass claim.

We can sit back and wait, we can lynch or not, but night is coming, and we should have a plan in place.

I'm not really keen to lynch someone without them claiming though, but I also don't want to vote someone less suspicious so close to end game. We also don't have anyone to replace chap if he doesn't come back soon so...

There are reserves listed in first post. But, it would be quite a task coming in, facing a lynch, mounting a defense, etc. Possibly because Clap was doing poor job. When strike came in under similar conditions, we gave him a chance, and he turned out okay.

We shouldn't lynch until we have conducted a proper investigation and know alignment with a high level of certainty. We are lynching people just to find out their alignment. We are lynching people who present poorly, but flip town. Town has killed more town than scum has. That's no way to win.

We have, or at last had, the tools to conduct an investigation. We shouldn't have lynched anybody until we understood our abilities. Random lynches hurt the larger team. Not always, but usually. So, it's better not to lynch at all than to lynch at random.

I suggest we ask Razor to replace Clap with someone else. Then that person should immediately tell us about his abilities. Then anyone else with useful abilities should tell us about them, including whether it is a one shot that must be used immediately or can be used later. We can put together a plan while new guy catches up on his reading. By plan, I mean a specific procedure for what we do at night. If someone has a comparison ability, we should make sure it is used to identify scum and not just protect the proposer of the plan and his buddies.

Reads:
- Claptrap town, I had a lot of confidence in him up to the time he disappeared. He got a lot of heat for not correctly understanding his ability. But, that heat might have chased him away. I believe he still has the ability to do some sort of pairwise comparison. That's why I'd rather see him replaced than lynched.

- Pika and Buj, scum. Pika keeps repeating that BuJ is confirmed town without saying why BuJ is confirmed town. BuJ isn't saying either. Pika is leading the discussion which seems more about keeping people looking everywhere except at BuJ and himself. I was extremely bothered that BuJ didn't make a full claim before pointing at Blacky.

-Do you think BuJ claiming would have given you a better idea of his alignment? If not, why would you have wanted him to claim? If so, how so?
-Does pika clearing BuJ automatically makes him scum if pika is scum or could it be his way of getting town cred?

I wasn't talking about your bonus ability but pika (or chap's at that time). Could you explain how you "attempted to use your ability" though? Coming from someone who claimed enabler that's pretty suspicious

Blacky said that he had tried to visit Rage N2, I had used this as a possible reason he didn't receive an action result N2 "due to having been poisoned" since Rages ability would have prevented it and I visited him and possibly healed him again. It could simply be the case that my poisoning was slightly different to BUJ
Perhaps i was hit twice (by JFM & Rage) so needed longer to recover?
Truth is I dont know why I would be different, and I guess we wont know until the game is over and we can study the mechanics of each night,
