None of our current maps with starting neutrals say that territories start out as neutral. As soon as the game begins, you will see that they are neutral, so it would be a waste of space.
Haha you fastposted me. Yeah, I agree.

you said u are going to fix the missiles, so just make sure when you are doing that, that you take the blur of the top right one

Yep, but it's not blur, just the orange background has an effect on the stroke that makes it look blurry … I'm cleaning the symbols up right now.
Anyone have something for assault routes? I was thinking of a brush stroke like
these, but I'm up for anything of course.

you could just have port symbols and say that all ports connect to the closest visible port

I would be wary of vague attack-route instructions like that... If you're going to explain anything, it needs to be clear and concise.

What are you referring to — the "/ can bombard O" ? How would that be clearer …

it looks very flat...maybe a bevel here or there for raised terrain...also the North Korea has small bonuses which can be bombarded while South Korea has (pointwise) less.

I think this needs a stamp. I don't care which one but one. I would go for D. Also could you get rid of the gray border. It is odd.

Umm, thanks. Yes the [D] comes next … I'd like to get some GP discussion going now. And of course symbols, mountains, and assault routes on the GFX front.
sailorseal wrote:Also could you get rid of the gray border. It is odd.
Gone unless turmoil arises.
Small changes, I can't post an image atm though.
- "Sinuiju" moved up a couple px
- "P'yongang" moved right 1px
- "Sownn" moved left a couple px
- "DMZ W" moved up 1px
- "DMZ E" moved left+up a couple px
I'm still contemplating if I need the "impassable border" and "attack route" (if kept, will change to "assault") in the key. Then I could move all the text up to the green, but maybe keep the capital note by the bonuses because those go together?
Keep 'em coming,

i would try changing you rmountains, something about them just doesn't seem right. Also, instead of Dmz E and Dmz W, try E. Dmz and W. Dmz. I like the grey outline, and try some more texture and less flat

That was oak's suggestion, and I like it better than the others.

Nothing on GP? Or is that a Main Foundry thing …

I'm trying to promote more gameplay discussion before releasing maps into the main foundry...
Are the airports based on anything historic/cultural?
Your mountain range at the bottom of the map serves no use, as the territories can attack around the sides of it..
The two halves of the map generally feel balanced, although I haven't fully got my head aorund the bombardments yet.... (besides the fact the targets look like badly drawn breasts

)
I imagine that anbother quality update or two should be enough to see you move into the main foundry - you're displaying an excellent attitude to the development of the map and contributing positively elsewhere too

No, not really. I think it's fine and expected I couldn't find anything when I searched "North Korea missile locations"

MrBenn wrote:Your mountain range at the bottom of the map serves no use, as the territories can attack around the sides of it..
That's my fault. I put another mountain so it extends to the coastline.

I had a good laugh at that.

Thanks, and my pleasure

UPDATES:- moved southern mountains over
- moved Kanggye-Huich'on mountains so that's impassable
- tons of little changes
TO-DO- XML
- Draft? I feel like the big things that need to be done here are sorting out what needs to be on the key, and what should be able to bombard what. The former seems somewhat trivial (for lack of a better word), and I could do that in a sit-down over the weekend when I have plenty of time. The latter seems like something that should be tackled like cairns' Trafalgar and Poison Rome — we got the brains+regulars (i.e. Tack, Inc, yeti, gimil at that, and of course ian and oak) who can really dissect that. But, up to you, Benn

Subtract 1 from every northern bonus, you made them too high.

then the north and the south bonuses (if all territs are held) would not be the same, which was the plan. They have to be the same, otherwise if somebody takes north korea and another takes sough korea, and their building up, South Korea will get more troops and win
