Well, in fairness, it is 4-4 in the non-random games. Random sucks.

I'm not even talking about this war, but I'm curious why you think that. I love random. To me, it focuses on team strength and good communication as opposed to specialist team vs. specialist team and having the dice decide the outcome (though, of course, the dice have a large effect on the outcome of random, too, just saying that I think it's slightly less).

Its not that Random, as an option, sucks, its that we lost so many in this war. Its a great feature but for a 'Clan War' my opinion is that Home and Away games are the best way to do it (takes luck out of the equation) while enabling each clan to show off their allstar teams.

Kinda like FOED's Das Schloss team :P (yes that Quad one).

Please let LMS know that I am not complaining, simply responding to your query.

As a general rule, I do like Random. However, I think what happened here is that we just got finished with a 6 week break from wars in which we did not play much together as groups. Thus, our communication suffered. As such, jumping into a 24 game Random set with you guys was a terrible idea on my part! Your communication in the random games was fantastic. In retrospect I should have requested the interspersing of the random games throughout the series. Being down 18-6 after the 1st set was bad for morale. Plus, we are simply not that bad. You have to admit, it did take a lot of the "sizzle" out of the war. Perhaps we can make it interesting down the stretch but that is a lot of games to come back from. I think I will think twice about allowing Random in future wars.

It really was. I almost forgot what it was like to play a game with strategy involved. It had some great back-and-forth and was the most fun game I've had in months. Everybody in the Legion sucks, but a couple guys are pretty cool. ;)

back to logistics_____

All star teams do have their place for sure, and most would agree that they should make up the bulk of any given war. But random does do alot to show off the versatility of a clan. Some would say that there is a heightened luck factor, but until the game starts, that factor lies in no clans favor. The versatility factor is underrated IMO.

Also, playing the all star games in war after war is BOOOORRRRRRRIIIINNNNNNNNGGGGGGG. Being pidgeon holed into the exact same 5-10 (home) games in war after war would make me salivate at the sight of some away games, just to mix it up.

Here's to slippin ya a few more roofies in round two!! =D> =D>

We're only scared because we know that if we look too good here, all good clans will avoid us :-$

Um. The 2nd Round? 1,000,000 to 1. The 3rd Round? 20 to 1. Yeah, we are doing that bad.
