Um...I'm not sure what you're referring to. Do you mean everything on page one of this thread?
3,000m Steeplechase Final Storyline

by Woodruff
The field is now set for the 3,000m Steeplechase Finals. In this Finals, we have the following competitors: squishyg, safariguy5, dowian2, dupa, Wendt100, lordhaha, ViperOverLord and 4 U 2 NV. They are set at the starting line, and the gun sounds! squishyg and ViperOverLord are off to quick starts, with dowian2 and lordhaha close behind. At the 1,000 meter point, we have lordhaha overtaking everyone and pulling out front. lordhaha is quite a story, since we're talking about him...he knows a great deal about the history of this event. Yesterday after the preliminary run, he was telling us how the first steeplechase was actually horse race over similar terrain as is used these days. Apparently, it was run it was run from a church in Buttevant Mallow County Cork, Ireland (where lordhaha lives) to a church in Doneraile Mallow County Cork, Ireland, which were approximately four miles apart. And thus, the "church to church" race was dubbed...the steeplechase. Very interesting guy! Back to the race now...ViperOverLord is close behind lordhaha in second place. squishyg has falling back a bit into third and dowian2 is right there with her. Wendt100 and safariguy are leading the backside pack, with dupa and 4 U 2 NV close behind. As we near the 2,000 meter spot, lordhaha is still in the lead, but now squishyg has pulled back near to him. ViperOverLord and dowian2 are neck-and-neck still within reach. 4 U 2 NV and safariguy5 are following close behind. Meanwhile, dupa and Wendt100 are falling off the pace very quickly and may already be out of contention. As we cross the finish line,
3,000 Meter Steeplechase Completed!

Our fifth event (3,000 Meter Steeplechase) has reached completion now, and while our Team Leader (Cube Conquering DYNASTY) didn't change, there was a change between the second and third teams. The Goon Platoon has taken over the second spot and the Highlander Legends are now in third. However, these three teams are significantly ahead of the rest of the field at the moment, as you can see in the Team Standings on the first page of this thread.
1,600 Meter Relay Completed!

Following our sixth completed event (the 1,600 Meter Relay), the Cube Conquering DYNASTY has extended their small lead over the Goon Platoon by winning the relay while the Goon Platoon came in fourth. Highlander Legends and Angels of Death are close by. Everyone else has formed a ways back. Hopefully their team captain will be returning from his hiatus soon, but in the meantime...someone's gotta do something about the Dynasty that's forming!

Sadly, I am leaving this site, effective almost immediately. Therefore, this tournament will not be continuing (unless someone would like to revive it, and I'd be grateful if they did).
If someone does decide to revive it, if you will just email me (not PM as I won't see that) and I will send you the various files I use for standings and such.

good luck to you woodruff
I'm guessing this tourney is too much to take on, so I'm assuming it's a dead one.
I saw a similar Olympics 2012 tourney in the tourney forum for any who are interested in getting a fresh start...not my tourney, just one I noticed when going through the other day.

I could have sworn I posted here this afternoon. I guess I failed to hit submit. Anyway,....
I am sorry to see this come to pass, as I was looking forward to reading your description of an event where I did not suck rocks (presuming that ever happens). Do you have a post somewhere explaining your reasons for leaving, or are you keeping that to yourself (as you are perfectly entitled to do)?

I wouldn't expect this one to get scooped up...a lot of work for whoever would take it on.

It's a real shame that this tournament probably won't get rescued. I would've rescued it as it has a fairly similar format to my 2012 Olympics tourney that flex mentioned, but there's no way I can do both. I hope someone does rescue it but unfortunately I can't see that happening.

Woodruff said before he left that he'd tried to find it a new TO but no takers

Such a shame

Perhaps if 2 organisers share the work load then it would be manageable.
Wishing you the best, Woodruff, hopefully everything is alright!

I wonder if Woodruff would consider returning, in light of the review and revised disciplinary action in that case.
