ok guys, all standings are up to date.... however i am going thru the games tonight to verify each team's record as well as conference record... so far i have found 2 mistakes and fixed them. As far as the NFC East, they are completely correct. The rest will be done by tomorrow morning at latest so that i can pm the playoff picture with the week 17 games.

all right, i am off to work so do not have time to update now.. however i went thru each teams individual schedules and found a few teams that i messed up on their records, so standby for a few changes to the standings. also week 17 (and final game for most teams) will be sent out this week. Then we are off to the playoffs.

check out the NFC West. unreal that there is a chance that an 11-5 team will miss the playoffs.

yes, this is very possible. tough division. a possibility of 3 teams from the same division go 11-5

In accordance with the rules in the first post:
Each team will pick their own settings/maps as their own home map. I will do my best to send out games each weekend. If a game is not joined by the following Thursday, it will be the opposing team's decision whether they want to wait or just accept the game as a forfeit. If the game is a forfeit the game can still be an exhibition game though the result will be a win no matter the outcome for the team that joined on time. However to accept a forfeit you MUST POST that the other team has not joined still.

It might sounds shady to some of you that this forefeit is coming against a team that is currently tied with MY team record wise in the same division, however i did send them 2 pm's. also, greenbay did contact me and i told them that i will send another pm and give them even more time to join... they never did, so the forefeit will be granted making GreenBay the winners the original and then i pm'ed them again after noticing they were the only team that did not join their games to remind them to join.... Here is my proof:

still a forefeit, but just looked at the standings and they were not tied with us, the other two teams are, they were not even in the playoff picture... lol.... i dont feel bad anymore lol.

All right, just updated the games that have finished so far for week 17... here is the rundown so far:

Jacksonville defeated Cleveland.
Jacksonville finishes 11-5 and has won their division and earned a playoff spot
Cleveland finishes 7-9 and misses the playoffs

Chicago defeated Detroit
Chicago finishes 10-6, win their division and earn a playoff spot
Detroit finishes 3-13 and misses the playoffs

New Orleans defeated Carolina
New Orleans finishes 11-5 including 6-0 in their division and won their division and earn a playoff spot
Carolina finishes 8-8 and are eliminated from any chance of making the playoffs

Houston defeated New England
Houston finishes 9-7 and are guaranteed a playoff spot because they defeated cincinatti in week 6 (also a 9-7 record)
New England finishes 8-8 and win their division and are automatically guaranteed a playoff spot

Cincinnati defeated NY Jets
Cincinnati finishes 9-7 however will miss the playoffs due to tiebreaker rules by losing to houston in week 6 and denver week 1
NY Jets finish with a record of 6-10 and will not make the playoffs

Miami defeated Pittsburgh
Miami finishes 8-8 and tie with new england for division lead, their head to head matchup is tied so it goes to tiebreaker #2 for the division champion... this is best division record and new england has a better division record so win the division. also miami will miss the wildcard as well with a record of 8-8
Pittsburgh finishes 10-6 and win their division ... earning a playoff spot.

Tennessee defeated Seattle
Tennessee finishes 7-9 and miss the playoffs
Seattle finishes 10-6 and their playoff hopes lie St Louis defeated San Fran in week 17. Also they will need Dallas to lose as well.

Green Bay defeated Arizona
Green Bay finishes 9-7 and miss the playoffs
Arizona finishes 5-11 and miss the playoffs

I would like to thank :
Cleveland Browns
Detroit Lions
Carolina Panthers
NY Jets
Miami Dolphins
Tennessee Titans
Green Bay Packers
Arizona Cardinals

for participating and hope you all had a good time.

3 more games completed. only 2-3 more games to finish with playoff inmplications before we can start the playoffs.

Buffalo defeated Indianapolis
Buffalo finishes 7-9 and misses the playoffs
Indianapolis finishes 3-13 and misses the playoffs

Dallas defeated Philadelphia
Dallas finishes 12-4 and locks up a wildcard spot in the playoffs
Philadelphia finishes 14-2 and already had the division spot locked on
* interesting note, philadelphia only lost 2 times all season, Interestingly enough they were both conference losses and both to Dallas. Should make for an intersting NFC division round if dallas wins round 1 of the playoffs.

Atlanta deafeated Tampa Bay
Atlanta finishes 6-10 and misses the playoffs
Tampa Bay finishes 6-10 and misses the playoffs

Also with Dallas winning and locking in a wildcard, Seattle's playoff hopes lie with the st louis vs san fran game that is currently ongoing.
If San Fran wins, San Fran will be the division winner and the wildcard will go to whoever has a better CONFERENCE record between seattle and st louis.
If St. Louis wins, St. Louis will be the division winner and the wildcard will go to whoever has the better CONFERENCE record between san fran and seattle.

I would like to thank the following for playing/competing
Buffalo Bills
Indianapolis Colts
Atlanta Falcons
Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Just did some research and no matter the outcome of the SF v STL game, Sea is guaranteed a wildcard already. whoever loses in the sf v stl game will be tied overall record with sea. wildcard tiebreakers include head to head record (and seattle is 1-1 against each sf and stl) and the second tie breaker is better CONFERENCE record. seattle's conference record is 8-4. if StL wins theirs will be 8-4 but stl has the better division record (division playoff tiebreaker #2) and will lock up the division as seattle will take the wildcard over sf (best conf record sf can have if they lose is 6-6. However if SF defeats STL then SF will win the division (best overall record) and stl conference record will be 7-5 while seattle's is 8-4.

Moral of the story:
The winner of this game Game 5909595 wins the division. The loser misses the wildcard because of tie breaker rules.
Meanwhile Seattle can not win the division but can not lose the wildcard spot.

So congrats to Seattle as they locked up the first wildcard spot.
