I agree. Please abandon this - these drafts do not come anywhere close to being as good as Doodle. They are base imitations, nothing more.

We are making a theme transition so eventually they will be projects not doodles

I think that A++++ thing is really...out of place. It has, I think, too many pluses and question marks, and sort of random on a map. 'Any' is also spelled wrong

My favorite part of the South American map is that sailorseal's name is spelled wrong.

It's is unique and classy in its own right. Give it up, sailorseal, there are better things for you to do.

Sorry of topic but such as...

I'm going to say this one last time. There is a difference between a doodle and a scribble. The space map that you keep pushing here is scribble. It horrible looking and yet you don't change it. You seem wedded to the idea that scribbling on a piece of paper is what it takes to make a doodle style map and you ignore anyone who tells you otherwise. Lets be clear. You are wasting your time continuing to push that particular version of the map forward. If you want to continue forward with this idea then you need to listen to some of the things that people have said. the current layout/style of your map will not work.

Second point for you here. Instead of trying to do 3 or so maps at once. Pick one. Get it through the process then do the next one. As far as I know only one mapmaker has sent an entire series through at once (WM's 6 pack) and that was a very experienced mapmaker with a very definate goal and idea in mind. Your ideas here have been a bit scattered and I think part of that is that you're trying to do too many maps. Pick one and do it.

Third, you've been asked several times to contact the original mapmaker. Each time you've responded that he's not on CC anymore so you can't. That is also not always true. For instance in this case his profile holds an AIM address to IM him at and that is also potentially an email address (although not always of course). There is a difference between not trying to contact someone and not able to contact someone. If you are going to parasite off of his idea you, at the very minimum, have the obligation to do everything that you can to contact him.

ok, where to start,hmmm, i think that.......hmmm, right,hmmm, maybe you can......hmmm,or maybe is better to......hmmm.

Im look very good map,and i must to say that these very look to real drawing(not drawing on computer programs,but draw on real paper),and then you probably scan to computer,and then you work to add dark green circles,and then blue circles,black smile lines,red smile lines,and green creatures,because they not look realistic,and not fit with rest of map. Its these correct observation?

I can see diference betwen real drawing and drawing on computer,because its very dificulty to draw for real(you dont have layers,and every big mistake mean paper in trash ).
Or maybe im wrong, and you have some specific program who can give to much realistic view on these paper.
Any way you need to look a little doddle earth and to observe what style these map maker use to create these map. You are going to have very long trip to next stage.

i partly agree with qwert, if i understand what he is saying. I think the map(only talking about space) looks to much half and half. Half of it looks good, like it is a real doodle, like doodle earth. But the other half, the dark marker like stuff, looks like a bad computer drawing.
I would change that so the whole thing looks like a CRAYON drawing and then this could be a good map
