i think u receive exactly +4 for holding
all iberia: the
christian iberia +3 is not in addition to this. however, this is unclear. to remove confusion in the legend, list
all iberia +4 first, then indent
christian iberia only +3 on the line below. also change
+ to
& in the legend when it means
and, so it isn't the same as the
+ in the bonuses. use the word
each in the legend for the shield and crescent bonuses to show that u can have more than one.
italian independent states +3all iberia +4- christian iberia only +3jerusalem & rome +1jerusalem & rome & each shield +2jerusalem & each crescent +1ian.

My thoughts:
*Can you make the font sharper & darker?
*Wouldn't be a nice historical addition to make constantinopla a port too?
*The city of Edessa (north-east Antioch) was much more important than damascus, maybe you can change a little bit the shape and names of those regions around Jerusalem.
Great work so far, never gave me a time to check it out before.

A couple small things: England seems like more of a +2, and I think the map color for islamic caliphate could better match its corresponding color in the legend (for both islamic caliphate and all iberia).

you've taken out one of the best bits, why can't you have a diffrent stmbol for each country, like the couer de lion for england, the fleur de fleur for france? i thought that was great

Thanks for the tip. Yeah what you say is right you receive +3 for holding Christian Iberia and +4 for holding All Iberia, not cumulative

I'll try it

I've thought of that too yet I think it would be too much things in one place only
fumandomuerte wrote:*The city of Edessa (north-east Antioch) was much more important than damascus, maybe you can change a little bit the shape and names of those regions around Jerusalem.
I can't replace Damascus by Edessa, because Damascus was a really important emirate. Yet I can add Edessa between Iconium and Damascus, but I think I'm out of space
Thank you for the cooperation

Beko,
I'm really digging the look of this map. A few points for possible improvement:
Territory division lines looks pixelated, jagged, etc. This may be because of the white used, as opposed to the darker continental/region borders which may obscure the pixelation more...but even they are also.
The border around the legend and title is alright, but have you experimented with any other designs? Just curious mostly.
The Crescent and Star icon looks a little coarse, at least compared to the shield. Anyway to spruce it up a little?
For the two Port territories in the Med, would you consider swapping the placement of names/army circles to make the Anchor actually touch the water/coast? Also, it is a little unclear what territory the Port is in the North, it looks like Normandy or Bret. I'm assuming Normandy, but perhaps you could adjust a little. It also may be worthwile to consider adding some sort of emblematic icon to Yeru, so it's easy to identify---and you could denote this in the Port description in the legend.
The color of the Turks is killing me. I know you are trying to find unique colors on a map with many regions, but it just doesn't fit with the map. Have you anything else to try on that area?
In the Med, you also seem to strangely switch from one wash of blue to another, abruptly, deliberate or mistake?
Should the "All Iberia" in the legend maybe be indented?
Keep up the work!

New Map!Taking in acount the good sugestions of Pamoa and Andy Dufresne I just spent a bit time doing this completely new version of this map (and small map too) which in my opinion just doubled his graphic quality
Large Map:[bigimg]http://www.filefreak.com/pfiles/76801/Europe1099V12Large.jpg[/bigimg]
Small Map:
Changes:Territory Names:Byzantine names are now in Greek:
pamoa wrote:Wikipedia wrote:The original language of the government of the Byzantine Empire, which owed its origins to Rome, had been Latin and this continued to be its official language until the 7th century AD when it was effectively changed to
Greek by Heraclius.
Flandre changed to Flandres again.
The order in the legend of All Iberia/Only Christian Iberia changed to make easier to understand those bonus.
Graphics:Say goodbye to old pixelated borders!
Say goodbye to burning eyes shock pink of Turks and say hello to a nice old-fashioned brown!
Flandres/Normandy border is clearer!
Crescent graphics changed as well.
Some graphic slight changes in general.
Enjoy!

I think you should add some white glow to the names on the map
now they are hard to read
about the crescent they seam harder to distinguish now
maybe a bright green and some white glow
about gameplay maybe you should add a sea route between Norge and Scotland
now Scandinavia is a region bonus controlled by one territory
you are doing great
go on

in the gaelic language, which was spoken by most people in scotland at the time, scotland was (and still is) called

Using Widowmakers bonus calculator is worth of 2.58. I round it to 3... But I can lower it to 2, of course!

I understand that is can be assaulted by a number of different territories and how that factors in, however, England borders two of the larger regions that will not be taken at least early on in the game, thus allowing England player to get a decent foothold in the mainland area. 3 seems like a little overkill.
On another note, could you slightly alter the color of France/Scandinavia? Either making Scandinavia lighter or a fresher green, or France slightly darker may be worthwhile to consider.

While the bonus calculator is a valuable tool, sometimes the numbers can be tweaked a bit... and in a situation with a continent with 2 borders like England, I'd rather see it a touch underpowered than a touch overpowered.

The Islamic crescents - possibly a point raised before - perhaps reducing the depth of colour / brightness may work better - would fit in with the rest of the map more? Or something...
Anyway, keep up the progress
