Could we see the chances of people winning AFTER the transfer window is closed? Just interesting, who improved their team the best.

Three players have left Down Under United today as they splashed out to bring in Adebayor. They beat off compitition from TH to earn his signature for 550 points. The three going out were Murty, Ingimarsson and Kevin Kilbane. Emo United managed to sign Dutch star Robin Van persie for 400 points to add to their attacking options while they offloaded Zander Diamond and Dave Kitson for small amount of cash.

Redcar Royals sold three players in an attempt to get back some of their money spent. Although only two of the attempted transfers went through as they could not drop below the 16 player limit. Cavarlho and Emre left but Gary Neville will have to wait until they can bring in another player. Their is a well publisized battle between Redcar and Thunder Hawks over German star Schweinsteiger and it looks like Footballing God Kaka will not get his dream move to the CCPL.

7th Legion made a player plus cash deal for Kolo Toure with Taylor on the way out and a spokesmen for the club said that they still intended to sign a player before the window shut. Meanwhile 7th keeper Hart has been sold on to Norfolk and Chance for just 170 points, in what is was called the "bragain of the window" by Norfolk manager Icedagger. Icedagger himself has returned his playing career to TWAT for a ridiculous 50 points, their were protests outside TWAT Park as fans were dismayed at the re-signing of their worst player ever.

Finally Lescott had signed for Red Stick Cajuns to take the place of out of favour defender McAuley, RSC fans were delighted at his aquisition and were glad to have majourly improved their defence throughout the transfer window.

TRANSFER WINDOW SHUT!!!

There have been a few last minute signings in the CCPL. Thunder Hawks won the battle to sign German international Bastian Schweinsteiger for a wopping 700 points. Thunder Hawks manager animo stated that he would go all out to sign him and outbid Redcar Royals after an intense few days of negotiating. This signing was some what surprising considering Kaka was available at a similar price but it appears Thunder hawks had their hearts set on Schweinsteiger.

This wasn't the only transfer on deadline day for Thunder Hawks as they signed Hantalaar for an estimated 350 points. This last minute signing was made in hope of bolsterring the TH attack as it appears Saha has been sold on. However this deal is said to be running past the deadline due to complications in the deal. It is believed he is heading to 7th Legion as he undertook a medical their but this has not been confirmed by Thunder Hawks FC. Strangely they also sold on Tim Cahill despite only purchasing him at the start of the transfer window from RSC, apparently Cahill had not fitted into pre-season training and had rowed with animo leading to his early exit.

After failing to sign Schweinsteiger Redcar Royals instead resigned Ryan Babel at the last minute for 400 points. This allowed for Gary Neville's transfer away to go through as RR's squad was large enough. Redcar manager GT denied claims he was settling for Babel and insisted on the midfielders talent. "Last season he was superb, he was a major part of our revival".

Norfolk and Chance managed to sign Carragher to improve their defence before the window shut. In order to rasie funds NaC had to sell Petrov, Taylor and Campbell. It is understood icedagger found it essential to add another quality player at was prepared to sell some of those not currently fitting into his team in order to improve the starting 11. Emo united snapped up Vidic for around 400 points after in a surprise deadline day transfer. Vidic was said to be estatic to have moved to the CCPL and to such a "presitgious" club.

Finally a strange bid was made by Norfolk and Chance moments before the window closed. It was a deal worth a huge amount of money for DDU star Arshavin but the deal appeared to calapse as NaC did not have the money to back up their bid. It appears the Chairman was reluctant to release such huge funds as NaC have already spent over 1000 points in the transfer window.

Successful Transfers:

Bids Recieved:
Schweinsteiger 700 (TH)
Babel 400 (RR)
Hantalaar 400 (TH)
Vidic 410 (Emo)
Carragher 400 (NaC)

Sales Pending:
Taylor 100 (NaC)
Campbell 150 (NaC)
Petrov 150 (NaC)
T. Cahill 150 (TH)
G. Neville 150 (RR)
Saha ????

Feedback please. What was good/bad about the transfers. Were the prices for buying and selling reasonable did it help you trade or did this seem pointless? Were their the right amount of people on the Players list? Was it good competition at WC level or not enough at excellent level? Any feedback appreciated.

EDITED TO INCLUDE PHANTOM TRANSFERS.

Was worth a try :(

Transfer rules were good.. very good sale price made it a bit more interesting. Suprised no one went for Kaka (wasn't worth it for me since my midfield was already the strongest bit of my team)

So was I ani is left with at least 50 ponits depending on the Saha sale, meaning he could have bought Kaka 750 instead of Schweiny for 700 but I take it he never noticed Kaka.

I actually was trying to get the points down to buy him, the whole schweinsteiger thing was a bit of a ruse to make ani waste some points. I just couldnt quite get there without selling off a player i liked more than very good or going under the limit.

Breaking news

Its taken many hours after the transfer window but Saha has sealed his move to 7th Legion from Thunder Hawks. The move was delayed due to complications with the deal but it is now gone through. Saha said that he was "glad the saga was over" and was "looking forward to a fresh start" at 7th Legion of set.
