And her dad with her.

(Although come to think of it if you wiped him out, she'd automatically go. Result!

Here's a thought: Why don't we wipe out the people who bastardized Cartoon Network? I remember a time much better than now when great shows like Dexter's Laboratory and Courage the Cowardly Dog were on, and not this crap that they have now.

I'd say something similar, except for Nickelodeon back in the early 90's. Man, that was the best.

Yeah... some of us actually remember Animaniacs, or Looney Toons, or even Tom & Jerry. So much better than Dexter's Laboratory...

Anyway, popular theory: the people responsible for the continual bastardizing of cartoons are those who watch the new shows and like them. Therefore, according to your claim, we should wipe you out, Hologram.

I was young! I had no idea!

Also, I just kinda grouped all those shows together (except Tom and Jerry) because it was so long ago that it all just kinda blurred together. How much earlier was Animaniacs from Dexter's Laboratory?

Dexter's Laboratory ran its first season in 1996. Animaniacs aired its first season in 1993. (Thank you, Wikipedia.)

Yeah, I was trying to think of the most recent cartoon I've seen that was just a cartoon - gag-a-minute type thing, without the long plot lines and... well, the technical term is dynamic, but I think unstable is more applicable... characters in cartoons shows these day - that was actually good, and Animaniacs came to mind.

Personal taste, of course, and mine runs to cleaner humor, or shows like Family Guy etc. might be higher on the list, but... there it is.

All good, as was the first Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and the older Chipmunks shows.

OFFICIAL NOTICE: This thread has been hijacked to talk about old cartoons that were actually good. Please enjoy.

Yeah, the older Chipmunks shows were really funny... good call.

What's really cool is that these things have been around for so long, you can watch them online any time. I was on a Tom & Jerry binge a couple of weeks ago and found nearly all the original episodes, a lot of the second series, a bunch of the newer shorts, even the movie available online. Now I'm on Roadrunner/Wile E. Coyote. I think I might have to do Chipmunks next... haven't seen them in a LONG time. I love old cartoons...

As was mentioned earlier, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles can't be overlooked, it was just phenomenally successful. On a side note, the TMNT video games were also classics.

Really? I never saw or played the video games, so I have no idea. but yes, TMNT was very successful... for good reason.

And yes, Scrappy Doo should be subjected to experimentation in the LHC so that if they open a black hole, the immensity of his stupid will fill it before it damages the world.

Why is Mohammed such a disliked figure? He actually made things better for Arabia.. Like, come on, he limited marriage up to 4 wives, instead of however many you [you being the male] wanted. He also created women to be equal to men, but social dogma has carried on and many women in Islamic states are lesser beings. That is not Islams fault, it is the social dogma. Same with Burka's [SP?], these help with the heat in Arabia, and it's carried on to the other countries of Islam. It's social dogma, not Islam the religion.

well the Atheists will likely vote for a religious figure .. the reasons will be complex and various.
Nations of Islam are the least secular and so that may be deemed as pervasive, singling Mo out for particular attention.

the Christians may vote against their biggest rival and then you have a mix of reactionaries who blame Allah for all terrorist attacks.

me, i am still a Backstreet Boys voter.
