Whatever the result this has been one of the most interesting warposts I've been in in the last few years.

Yeah, it seems you've taken a more solid lead in the home stretch. I guess I should start putting some players on their maximum allowed games and repeat maps more.

We rather liked your home maps, so yeah if we play again, by all means repeat them. If you are going to assign players to max games (which is 18 not 16 btw) try to pick players that will win at least half of them, that's my advice.

Why do you feel the need to comment like an arrogant prick when I was being genuine? Lol. We liked a few of your maps too, but things like Battle for Iraq and WWII Europe were over almost immediately. I'd gladly take any of your clan on Iraq or Northwest Passage, but sometimes things don't go your way when you need them to. You can f*ck off now, I don't have time for people that can't win with decency.

If you think my last comment wasn't genuine, go speak to shocked. It was something I brought up with him this week and was actually thinking about.

Btw, if the maximum amount of games per player is 18, you should probably get Extreme Ways to check the rules he copied into the OP. We don't want a CD breaking rules for the second time in this war now, do we?

I'm suddenly reminded of Extreme Ways putting keyborn into games illegally. It was well known keyborn wouldn't be available to play the first rounds of his games even if we joined on the deadline. As it was, he didn't play the first three rounds of his games. I let it slide.

Thankfully I don't think (I write *think*, because I actually don't know) that the rules allow a player to forfeit all their games because of a small mistake any more, but even if they did, a quick look shows key in 4 games, where he has lost two, and two are still in the running.
So unless we beat you by less than a margin of two... then it is irrelevant.

I will be as frank as to say that sometimes a clan-mate or two of mine can come off as arrogant. After many years affiliating myself with top-players I can say that I have found a certain connection between superb players and ego. I just find ego amusing.

I spoke with EW quite a lot about the incident and made it clear from the onset that I was just making him aware of the rules, not looking to pursue anything. It obviously wasn't intentional. Forfeits and suchlike aint my style, nor is it Aeternus'. However, I'm also not going to tolerate some hyped up ego who gets upset over a few jokes in games but then makes arrogant comments off the back of winning a clan war, especially not after rules were broken from the very first turns of this war. Ridiculous.

I did not knowingly/intentionally break the rules. I assigned the player keyborn to games of which the deadline to fill was the 28th of May. Keyborn would be on holiday from the 25th until the 1st of June and I wrongly assumed that these games would be filled on deadline day. With this faulty assumption, Key would miss 1 turn in both W2.1 trips and FNA. I figured that missing just 1 turn wouldn't be enough to exclude him from games.

I also didn't understand other rules, before someone brings it up. We had "exchange set" and "fill set" deadlines, but I wasnt aware that everybody in clan world means "home set games filled and sent" with exchange set rather than just "send games".

Max games in war - copy and paste mistake. Oopsie.

TLDR: put key in games knowing he'd miss 1 turn, turned out to miss more turns.

I'm good with that explanation. Thanks EW. Mistakes were made we've owned up to them caff and ATN. We will do our best to not let them happen again in the future.

The trash talk and banter was meant to be in good fun, I'm sorry if you think we crossed a line here. You are one to push boundaries. I hope we can move past this and continue to be amicable towards one another's tribes.
