Came across this Sug & Bug from 2007 http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=79084 It goes over the 6-card "trick" that allows a player to hold six cards. Several of those contributing to that forum were the same as the ones in this bombardment one.
In both cases its a loophole (call it expolit or cheat if you like) where you need to understand how the game works and not how it is supposed to work.
Come on Earl. You can't lie and say its a two year old thread when it was started last week. The very first post in the thread you linked to was from Feb 27, 2009 not 2007 like you claim

That's me scanning on the posters "Joined date" again.
O.K..... Correction....

Most people prefer to play by the rules hence the drive to push this on the forum.
OK. I'll throw you half a bone here. That other thread is an "exploit", or a "cheat" the same way getting deferred armies is. It is not beneficial, and anyone who knows how to play the game properly is not going to do it, and will benefit from an opponent trying it.

You've dropped that "anyone who knows how to play the game properly " comment again.
Where are you drawing the line -

Here enlies the number of each rank. Find where you lie on the map of CC'ers and see how many more stand in your way to the top. NOTE: I only took scores, not actual ranks,as in if you dont have enough games you got promoted.
- I still think I have a lot to learn about this game and I've only just reached Serjant 1st Class. That leaves 75% of players below me.
I'm chocking on that bone...
Exploits are loopholes
Players can benefit from them even though some might be not be as useful useful when playing against commissioned officers.

I'm sorry, but if you can't see how poor those tactics are, you obviously don't understand some basic principles of the game. ("you" being a general term, in this case)
Let's get back to the topic at hand though.
I fully agree that the wording of the instructions needs to be updated, so that people can better understand the rules concerning bombardment without having to do a lengthy search through the forums, like I did when I first stumbled upon the feature.
There is no need to change the rules. If a player deadbeats, and leaves several territories with multiple troops on them, why shouldn't a player get spoils just as he would for conquering any other territory? It cost him troops to get it!

And who are you to declare how the game is supposed to work? If the admins know about something, and don't change it, it's not a loophole, or an exploit, it's part of the game.

Exaggeration - nice try Kotaro - but I've hardly "declare[d] how the game is supposed to work"
Have we not already gone over this?
If its not in the rules and only some people have more information that makes it a loophole.
Woops, I mixed up ronin's two threads. Point is though, almost every mod and admin knows about this "exploit" (and I call it such only because you do, I don't believe it is such), so why has it not been changed? Gimil, the map creator for feudal war, sure as hell knew about this. Yet, still no change. Why? It's against the rules stated in the opening.
The reason is simple. The rules are outdated, created 100 maps ago. Actual application has changed the gameplay, so the rules must evolve as the gameplay does.

The proprietors of the site are always looking for new features to add which players might enjoy, but I can't imagine they would CHANGE something that a great many players on the site already enjoy.

i.e. BOMBARDMENT
i dont have to worry about it, because i think bombardment games are so dumb i never play them
thank you and goodnight
I actually like playing with bombardment.. it adds to the fun of the game, if you don't like it, then don't play it.. It doesn't need to be removed because you don't like it.
When the first Atom bomb test was complete a colleague of Oppenheimer said: "What an Awesome and Foul display of Power." a moment later he added, "Now we are all sons of bitches"
There's nothing like an innoccent comment to support a point: Conversation during game on Seige!:
GenuineEarlGrey: All the best xxxx: ya, this is a weird mapp isn't it xxxx: good luck to you as well GenuineEarlGrey: Its kind of fun this one.... GenuineEarlGrey: ....there's just a few bottle necks to deal with.... enjoy! xxxx: well I am willing to give most maps a shot, although sometimes there are map tricks or strategies I didn't think of like the fuedal map, apparently the way to play is to stay in your castle and horde troops until you go all out on turn xxxx: that usually isn't a winning strategy GenuineEarlGrey: fuedal map: have you learned the bombard "loophole" xxxx: ya I figured it out, when the people would capture the same spot 5 times in a row xxxx: and collect a card, only to capture the same spot the next turn xxxx: seemed like exploiting a bug to me xxxx: so I don't think I will be playing that one again
this bombardment exploit is just that an exploit. Some people here vote know and like the map because they can keep up their score by picking on the people that don't know any better. In order to get a card you need to capture a territory bottom line.
