Yes, but if you go after an inactive you run the risk of lynching someone who legitimately wasn't really around and didn't have the chance to roleclaim.
Only if someone pre-emptively hammers, normally a fair few votes is enough to get someone to start posting. If they aren't scumarining and are legitimately away from the site then they can be replaced.
SILENCE IS SCUMMY!
Unless they aren't checking the thread and are at the site. Btw guys arguing about stances on scummarining isn't going to take us much of anywhere. Although I guess I'll give my input that you have to look at the scummarining player. There are some players who will naturally end up scummarinning at times but other times be there (hey that's me

) and there are other's like cena who won't play at all. Obviously if we're gonna get a scummariner let's get one who is very unlikely to be any worth into the game. Though really I think I agree we should see who is actually scummy based off the merit of their replies.

I've been highly active elsewhere? I made 0 posts on the weekend and 0 posts yesterday. I made a couple on Monday and none of those were related to any active mafia games. So it's safe to say that I haven't really been here. Honestly just checking through my active posts can do you a lot of good.
I did and you had two pages worth of posts since you had last posted here.

Yes but how many of them were actually related to active mafia games? As far as this game goes. I checked up on it on Thursday and Friday just had nothing to post. And then after that and until today I haven't been checking any of my games.

That makes for a bit of a free pass, eh?
But with the prod going out and all I suppose if we're lucky we will have a replacement before the day phase ends. (which of course makes it unnecessary to vote as a prod anyways.)
I suppose it still leaves who to pressure since we are running out of time, I was somewhat serious in my vote against Strike, but I will give a WTFFOS to anyone who is sticking to a joke vote right now, as it seems quite indicative of an extra helping of scummarining.
And no this is not a hypocritical "I suspect everyone who is doing this! Someone please start a bandwagon." post like I was mentioning earlier, I am saying I fully intend to call out anyone who is active enough to read this message but has no ideas, or suspects more important than "I.C. Wiener" within the next few days.
That said, if you can't come up with anything that sounds even vaguely sane, at least give us some fresher joke material to make the game funner while we bandwagon and/or come to a complete standstill.

Yup, exactly.
I'm surprised at you, Commie. Instead of wanting a replacement for Saxlad, you seem to be advocating a straight lynch here. What's the deal?

There's a difference between pressuring and lynching. Saxlad is around and is posting in the forums - I don't mind pressuring him. If what, we can always replace, but since everyone is basically stuck and not doing anything, this at least may prove to be beneficial in the longer term.

Kind of true in that Sax did post some since his last post here but he hasn't posted anywhere since Sunday and his activity overall hasn't been stellar lately.

I'm not sure why people are so eager to make the sax wagon look stronger than it is. You weren't voting the inactive who was active elsewhere. If you were you would have voted for fircoal or pancakemix both of whom had been gone for a longer period and both of whom had posted more in the interim.
I will agree that the timing of tails unvote was a bit irregular but the people trying to make this saxlad case stronger than it is are the ones I find more suspicious.

I think things are too murky for me right now to get my head around much of anything. Though it could also be that it is morning right now.

No commitment, no balls. We need to work with something else barring a successful cop investigation, day two will be something of the same. Even if we mislynch at least there is evidence to work with such as who bandwagoned, who defended and whatnot.

I'm gonna go ahead and vote com9 and fos naxus. To suggest that someone who hasn't posted on the forums since Sunday is around and posting sounds to me like you two didn't do any actual research into the actual case. Com9 I especially feel has been trying to make himself look very pro town without stepping too far outside of the lines.

I've been discussing a tournament with him during the weekend (a couple of PM's) and he was quick to respond, which means he's around. He also has one post yesterday on Squishy's group forum, so he IS around. To suggest something like that without doing any research sounds like Strike is trying to look very pro town without stepping too far outside of the lines

Well the pm thing can't really be confirmed or denied except by sax himself. Either way that was the weekend, a big part of my point is he hasn't been active since Sunday and one post in a user group isn't going to change my stance on that. My other question be is does Naxus have any access to this information or other information that would make sax appear a bit more active?

I'll unvote since we're past the jokevoting stage, but this whole C9 debate seems like a wash since he's probably not lying about the PMs, I mean why he would do something like that on Day 1.

I suppose I should have made the first part more obvious I was joking around. But like I said if the pms were over the weekend and he's only made one post in a private forum since, it only proves my point that he hasn't been active in the forums particularly since sunday. He and naxus seemed to be suggesting he was active with their comments. I don't consider one post since Sunday solid so I'm calling them out on that and I found it scummy to suggest such in a situation where at least in my eyes that didn't hold true. I'm not saying it's rock solid evidence but it is something.
